Christopher P.O.V.

When Sophia and I walked into the building it was like nobody cared. But the moment that we walked in something caught my attention. A smell. The smell of Roses with Mint and a hint of Vanilla. The last smell I got from my Mate. It's been nearly 300 years since I last smelled that wonderful sent. I looked around and didn't see anyone I recognized. I then heard Johnathan's voice. I looked up at the podium and glared at him.

Johnatan: Welcome all to our Annual Masquerade Party.

Johnatan: Now on the back of your invitation is a number and that number will result in who will win a brand new Lamborghini Veneno.

I didn't really pay attention to his speech but I looked around to see if I would notice anyone else.

Sophia: I'll be right back I need to powder my nose.

Sophia whispered to me and left. I nodded at her and then looked back. I then felt a gust of wind and I looked around. And then I spotted her. There she is standing there with a long red mermaid dress. She looks absolutely stunning. She was standing there with her brother giving her a worried look and I just couldn't control myself. I had to talk to her. I then walked over to her and offered her my hand.

Christopher: May I have this dance?

I asked her. She was stunned at first but then she placed her hand in mine.

Cataleya: Yes you may.

The moment that she put her hand in mine it felt complete. I then walked her to the dance floor and placed my hand on her waist and she placed her hand on my shoulder. The music then started to play and we danced. It felt like if we where back in time dancing as the people watched us with envy. She tried to look into my eyes but I avoided looking into them because I knew if I didn't I wouldn't be able to contain myself. We kept dancing until she spoke up to ask the question I so dreadfully dreaded.

Cataleya: I'm sorry but do I know you from somewhere?

Christopher: I don't know Layla do you?

I don't know what had been going threw my mind because the moment that I called her Layla I wanted to take it back so bad. She then stopped dancing and looked at me. She shook her head no and walked away from me. I took a deep breath and then went to look for her. She wasn't anywhere to be seen. I then walked out of the building and saw her standing there. She didn't even realize that I had came out there. I then grabbed her hand. As my hot hand wrapped itself around her wrist it made my stone cold heart warm up. She turned around and saw that it was me holding onto her. I could see the tears well up in her eyes but she blinked them away. It broke my heart into a million pieces to know that she was in pain.

Cataleya: Who are you why did you call me that?

She asked me with a cold harsh tone and a deadly glare. I was stunned as she told me that so cold and harsh.

Christopher: Don't you remember who I am Layla?

I dared to ask once more. I then took off my mask and looked into her soft brown eyes.

Christopher: Buenas noches Amor.

She stood there stunned to see me. It looked like she wanted to hug me and kiss me but at the same time it looked like she wanted to let out all her rage on me. She then shook her head no and walked away as fast as she could. I wanted to stop her hold her in my arms again but I just stood there. It was like my feet where glued to the floor. I then heard clapping and I turned to the side to see Sophia standing there.

Sophia: Amazing show hermano.

Christopher: How long have you been standing there?

Sophia: Long enough to see you look like un pendejo!
