Chapter 6

   Yesterday Ratchet had told me about Cybertron, even said he might give me lessons on the language. Today the others were going to base, but I was staying behind to spend a day with Mom. I wake up at around 9:30am to the smell of Bacon. I quickly make my way downstairs still in my Grey pj's, cuz y'know, bacon.

   When I come into the kitchen I see Mom making Bacon and eggs. "Good morning, Jill. Jack already left for the club or whatever you two go to. So I thought me and you could have a girls day!" She said excited, I nod my head. "I was thinking we could watch some movies, or have a picnic, or maybe, if you wanna be all fancy, we could go to a nice restaurant." I smile at her "a picnic would be nice." She looks at me over her shoulder. "Well look whos all talkative today!" She Let's out a laugh and I smile.

   "Since it's still pretty early, do you want to eat breakfast and watch some movies first?" I nod my head and begin setting the table. "Oh, hun, you don't have to do that, I'll do it." I smile but shake my head and continue setting the table. "Where are the plates?" I ask she points at a cabinet as she starts cooking the scrambled eggs. I got out the plates and set them down and got some silverware from. The drawer. "Jack already left to hang out with his friends. He told me you joined the club after school?" I nod my head again. "Do you wanna start hanging out with them?" I get a little confused.

   "I, I don't know. It's hard making friends. But there is this one girl, Miko, she seems nice." Mom and I sat down and she has a small smile on her face. "You'll figure it out. You just need to find your own people." I look up at her and smile. "Thanks..." we then started eating. She told me about work and I asked some questions here and there.

   After eating and Mom forcing me not to do dishes we sat down on the couch and she asked me what Disney movie I want to watch. "Beauty and the beast or Rapunzel." I replied. "Really? OK then, Rapunzel it is." She then turned on the movie and we sat through the whole thing.

   Afterwards Mom went to the bathroom and said she wanted to pick the next movie. When she leaves I look out the window and see the same red car that I saw when I first got here. I wave to the car and the headlights blink a few times. I was surprised because nobody was inside. I put up one finger, asking it to wait and ran up to get my notebook. I opened it and wrote really big across the page "CYBERTRONIAN?" And the headlights blinked once, then it drove away. I stared at where it once was slightly confused. Someone then shook my shoulder and I look back at Mom. "What happened are you ok?" I nod my head. "Yeah, sorry. Just thought I saw something." We then sat on the couch next to each other as I closed my notebook. She looked over at it. "What have you been drawing? I see you with your notebook and a pencil pretty often. And, now that I think about it, you didn't show me what your science project was even though you got first place." I look up at her.

   "C'mon, show me, I'm your mom." I then let out a sigh and got up, grabbing Mom's hand. We walked back into my room and I grabbed the gloves, showing her. "A pair of gloves?" I nodded my head then pushed both buttons on the thumbs, the suit flowing over me. "Jillian? What is this, how did you make it?" I shook my head, not wanting to worry her. Then the suit came off again and I set the gloves back on the mannequin hands. She then grabs my shoulder, looking at the gloves. "Is it safe? Because if not, I don't want you using it." I looked at her, eyes a little wide. "Yeah, it's safe. I designed it, so I would know if it wasn't safe." I patted the gloves as we went back to the living room.

   "Well, now I know why you got first place." She then let out an exhausted laugh I smiled at her. "Sorry." I quietly apologized and looked down. She stopped and turned to me. "No no no, hunny, you have nothing to apologize for. It's amazing what you can do, I just hope you use it for a good reason. Not just some hobby. You can help people. It's a gift." She held my face in her hand. "I love you." She quietly told me "I love you too Mom..."
