LIV'S POV:It's been over a week since I almost saw the light, and the pain has almost gone away. Well, to be specific, the physical pain, not the emotional pain. It didn't happen until after I left the hospital, but I keep picturing that night. The unknown man's large hands around my neck, the feeling of breath leaving my body, the way Roman saved my life. Everything was happening so fast, and to top it all off, the news about me getting my ass whooped make headlines.
Apparently, someone caught the whole incident on video, even the part about Roman saving my life. I wanted to keep this from Vince, but he's suggested that I take a couple weeks off from wrestling. Key word: wrestling. Don't worry, that storyline isn't going down the drain! Lucky me; excuse my sarcasm. I tap my black heels against the concrete floor, waiting for my theme music to hit. My hands grasped my throat as I felt a sting of pain. I tried to convince Vince that maybe we should put off the storyline, but who is he going to listen to? Only himself, not me.
"Get ready Liv! You're on in five minutes," I nodded my head as the tech guy gave me a thumbs up. A wave of nervousness flew throughout my body, and I couldn't help it; I was about to give a whole promo on why I almost died. That's a first, and hopefully, it'll be the last. I rolled my eyes as I felt a presence stand beside me, well, more than one presence.
"Aye Liv!" One of the Usos yelled. "You did a good job defending yourself last week! You really got em!"
"Why are you fucking yelling?" I turned towards Jimmy, cocking an eyebrow. "We're in a small space, and you don't have to scream dude."
"Hey! You better not talk to me like that again or-"
"Shutup," Roman growled at his cousin, immediately throwing me off. And of course, Jimmy backed off, calling me curse words under his breath. Roman turned towards me and gave me a slow glance up and down my body. "You look good. Make sure you keep that dress pulled down."
I looked down, and he's right, my black, tight to the core dress was super high tonight. Wait, what am I saying? He doesn't dictate what I wear, and how I look! I'm such an idiot sometimes. "Look, thanks for the compliment, but my dress is perfectly fine. I think it makes me look good."
He released a long sigh and shook his head. "Whatever you say babygirl."
"What the hell did I tell you! Don't call me your damn babygirl because I'm not!"
"Look at the one who's yelling now," Jimmy chummed in, immediately causing the other two boys to laugh.
"Liv, get ready!" The same tech guy announced, and my music hit.
"See you out there baby!" A giant hand slapped across my ass. I looked back to see Roman biting his lip. I sent him a death look before pushing back the curtains. As I walked down the ramp and gave high fives to fans, I began to grow nervous again. What if my promo doesn't sound good? What if I embarrass myself? What if the WWE Universe doesn't like the storyline?
