I knock on the big house door, I waited a couple seconds and the door opened.
I took a couple hours in the shower and doing my make up to look nice, I wanna look nicer.
"Hi! you made it" Alycia said, I smiled. "Come on in love" My stomach flinched.
"You have a lovely house, I could fit my apartment twice in here" I giggled, She chuckled.
"It's just nothing to be honest, feels cozy, like a home, so it's okay" She smiled. "Please sit, what do you wanna do? maybe eat something? drink water?"
"Juice?" I smiled, she nodded and disappeared to her kitchen. I heard her door and she yelled if I could get it so I stood up and opened the door.
"Hi, is Alycia here?" I cleared my throat.
"Um... you are?"
"Jacob, can you tell her I am here I don't have much time today" He spoke. I was so confused. Maybe a friend from work.
I walked inside and she was standing in the living room with a glass of juice and some popcorn.
"There's...." I swallowed. "Jacob at the door" I sighed, her eyes widened.
"Oh... Um okay, let me fix that, I'll be back just, get comfy" she tried to smile but I knew she was hiding something.
I couldn't hear what they were talking about, I sat and waited for her to come back.
After a couple minutes she closed the door and walked inside.
"I'm sorry is just work stuff" She said as she sat next to me.
"It's okay..." I got a weird feeling in my gut but I ignored it, I know nothing about the situation so I just let it go.
"What if we watch horror movies?" I nodded smiling, she then pressed play to the curse of la llorona and we started watching the movie while we enjoyed the popcorn and the drinks Alycia brought.
It felt so surreal to be with her right now, I didn't even want to get my hopes up but sadly I already did.
I was just on my own thoughts when I felt her head resting in my shoulder, I thought she was going to fall asleep but she was so focused on the movie.
After a while she got her head in my lap and was resting in her couch. The movie soon ended and she stretched a little as she reincorpored herself in her previous position sitting next to me.
Suddenly we were in silence, not an awkward one but to be honest it wasn't too comfortable at all.
"Do you wanna watch another movie?" She asked breaking the silence.
"Shall we watch one of your movies instead?" I asked, she chuckled.
"Sure why not, which one?" She asked and her phone start ringing. "Um... I gotta pick this up, why don't you choose and I'll be back in a second?" I nodded and sighed as soon as she walked into her kitchen.
She's acting all weird today, super secretive like she have gotten thousand calls and knocks in the door. Okay I need to stay calm, what am I expecting, she's a celebrity and of course a busy one. It's probably nothing.
"What do you want me to do? I can't I told you and you sent him here for what?" I heard a silence after. "I won't, it's not the way we talked in the morning, this is completely the opposite and you know it" She continue. This conversation confused me even more.
Does this have to anything thing to do with the guy who was here before? so many questions in my head and I just had answers for any.
She soon walked into the living room and sat in the couch. "I'm sorry... this industry is kinda complicated" I nodded shyly. "Did you pick the movie?" I totally zoned out.
"I'm sorry no... I was thinking, just forgot, we can watch any you want actually" I said and she sighed.
"I'm sorry... you don't have to worry about anything, I'm going to solve this" She said and kissed my head, it was such a weird action but I couldn't complain having her close to me feels so good.
"What is it?" I asked.
"It's nothing, you really don't have to worry okay?" Alycia said confident, she pressed play to a movie she found in netflix which was one of her own. We got comfy in the couch and started watching the second movie of our afternoon.
After a couple minutes in the movie I felt her hand in mine, she was playing with my fingers, she has so soft hands. I was resting my head in her shoulder, she had her head over my head.
"Y/N?" She suddenly asked.
"Hmm?" I just hummed in return.
"Nothing is stupid" She said.
"What? no, tell me"
"Do you think the perfect match exists? like your soulmate?" She asked, I actually never thought of it.
"I don't know... why?"
"Don't know, never actually thought of it, like if that person is out there for you" Alycia grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers together. I looked at the interaction and tried to hide my silly smile.
"I guess you could say it does, maybe, if you're lucky enough to find it" I replied.
"Do you think you gonna find it?"
"I don't know, maybe? do you?"
"That's the thing... what are you suppose to feel? because at this point I— i think like I have found it maybe" She spoke.
"What do you mean? how do you even know?" She shrugged.
"It feels weird, i don't know like you feel complete?" My heart skipped a beat as she said that, for some weird reason. Now it is weird isn't it?
"It feels funny doesn't it?" I giggled.
"You have the sweetest giggles ever" She bursted from nowhere.
I felt my cheeks getting red and the heat building up. I didn't even want to look at her. She moved in the couch and I moved too so we were looking at each other.
I looked down once and she grabbed my chin and lifted it a little.
"Why you get so shy from nowhere? remember when you were all sassy?" She said.
"Yeah well, that's because we were texting is not the same as actually being here with you, i get nervous, i don't know"
"Do i make you nervous?" She asked smiling.
"No! i mean... kinda i guess? I get nervous all the time" I tried to hide the fact I justa admitted to her she made me nervous. She bit her lip and suddenly we were in silence again. She looked straight into my eyes and leaned forward. My heartbeat increased, my breathe hitched when she placed her hand in my cheek. Next thing i knew her phone rang.
I cleared my throat. "I'm sorry" She groaned as she pulled away and grabbed her phone"
She stood up and walked to the kitchen again. I sighed.
Maybe some things aren't meant to be, right?
