I Grinned. I was completely out of it.
"hey Jo nice to meet you"
"honored" she grinned widely revealing her dimples. She could have been Katie's sister when she held a strait face. The cheek bones the twinkle in her eyes. Her color hair. But when she smiled her entire face rounded out making her look years younger. Sweeter and full of life.
"so where is he at?"
"Follow me." she grabbed my hand and lead me to the corner where she haled a taxi.
We drove through london to a hotel. She got out of the taxi (after handing him a twenty) and pulled me through the revolving doors before I could even read the name. She inserted a room card into the elevator and pressed the 23 floor. An exectutive floor.
She grinned at me the entire elevator ride. "I like you louis Tomlinson I'm glad to be your guardian."
"I thought you were guarding Horan"
"I am but Katie was HIS guardian. Shes dead now I guard you both."
"if I wasn't compleatly stoned I'd be confused"
"your not stoned idiot, your drugged with migraine medication. No the diffrance."
"we're you the one who gave this to niall?"
"he'd borrow it"
The doors swung open showing us a hall stretching to a glass full length window. The floors were hard wood and the walls were salmon pink with flowers.
Jo slipped off her shoes at the entrance to the elevator and to not feel awkward I did the same. She walked to the nearest door which was a red shade and used the room key to open it.
The hallway we entered was dark. The darkness seemed to eat away all the features in the room. Not even a crack of light could be seen.
"Niall" Jo shouted "Louis here"
A raspy voice answered. "he's not here". The sound of metal scratching against metal pierced my ears "by of course you already knew that Jo."
"get out" she whispered to me.
The sound of metal scratching grew closer in unison with heavy foot steps. I couldn't move. I was frozen.
"run" she shouted grabbing my wrist tightly and pulling me out the door. I flinched at the brightness of the main hall.
Jo continued to pull me roughly down the hall. I slid easily as I was in only my socks. We soon gained speed and she let her self slide down the hall adjusting herself so we both were sliding facing the elevator her breasts against my back.
A tall well built man in a black sports jacket and a fedora came of the room we had entered. "you two are going to have a slow painful death if everything goes my way." he grimaced at us, "there's no where left to run. There's no where left to hide."
Jo laughed from behind me. "but there's always somewhere to slide."
Just then I felt a jolt in my back and a shattering. I thrusted forward but Jo wrapped her arms tightly around me as I felt our selves turn so we were facing the sky. Glass fell beside us and I felt my life flash before my eyes as I remembered my father my mother my sisters and El. I didn't have much time though. Only seconds into the fall I felt another stronger jerk. A crack ran up my spine and a pain so enormous knocked me out.
I awoke in a bed. It was a wirey metal goverment issued bed. Not at all the luxury I was used to. As I tried to sit up a sharp pain ran trough my spine and I thudded back into the bed. I observed my surroundings from my bed. I was what seemed to be an infirmary. The only other body in the room was across the room. This persons bed was covered by a medical curtain of a baby blue.
