Wilbur landed on the soft green grass of Earth. Dirt and mud cover his boots as wildflowers graze against his greyish-blue skin. Wind blows softly on his fins and chocolate brown hair, which shimmered in the sunlight.
He stretches all four of his arms as he dusts himself off. He should be far enough from L'Manburg. He got bored of being stuck in the palace every day, having to study, work and sit on that goddamn throne for hours at a time. So he borrowed a small escape pod from Carl, Techno's beloved living spaceship, and flew over to earth.
With a snap of a finger, all four of his hands held a glowing blue ball. He put his palms together, which resulted in a white explosion. The wind blows away the white smoke, revealing Wilbur, who looked more like a human rather than an alien god.
He put a simple magic spell on the escape pod he came out of; making it invisible.
"Now that all that is done... Fun at last!" Wilbur yells, smiling happily as he skips away. Something that finally isn't part of the usual, boring routine.
Yes, both Techno and Phil might be worried (Phil is going to be willing to destroy the nearest galaxy to find him)... But he trusts that Carl won't tell them where he is.
And besides! It's only gonna be 1 day, they won't notice.
Wilbur fixes up his hair and his hands graze his skin. It felt a bit weird not to have the occasional scales on his skin, or his second pair of arms. (It felt like it was still there, though.)
He doesn't have anywhere to follow, so he follows the wind, which slowly pushes him towards north—and he walks.
Earth was charming, in its own way.
The buildings that lined the asphalt road and the colourful neon signs trying to catch your attention, the people who chatter and smile like they don't know how insignificant they are in the multiverse... It's nice. Wilbur always enjoyed simplicity.
He saw a few animals; those were called dogs, he recalls. He's read about them in a book in Dad's endless library. They look even cuter in person. He's definitely going to try to spawn them with his magic at home.
The sky slowly turns from beautiful baby blue into midnight black, crickets starting to sing their melodies under the twinkling stars.
Wilbur decided he should take a rest somewhere. Maybe sit on something, he's been walking for quite some time (he doesn't necessarily need rest, but he still wants to)
He encounters a station.
He sits down on one of the benches, sighing. It seemed busy even if it was already late at night.
He watches trains come and go; but as he was going to watch the 4th train come, he sees a boy with golden hair come crashing into the tracks. Helpless, helpless, helpless!
Come on humans, you created trains! You should know how to save a kid from your own creation!
And yet they didn't budge. All of them were just watching, phones pulled out to record, waiting for someone to come save the boy. They were all choosing to be bystanders! Stupid, stupid, stupid!
He wasn't going to just sit down and watch this happen. So he stood up and ran.
Left, right, left right.
One moment, the child was bracing himself for a hit.
In the next, he was in Wilbur's arms, safe and snug.
He hears clapping and cheering. The boy seemed to just notice that he was out of the train tracks, and opened his eyes.
Sapphire met hickory brown eyes. Wilbur notices the tears starting to form in the boy's eyes. It seems like the situation he was in previously only got recognised after he was saved.
