I must confess I've been lax in my story update 🥺🥺, I hope I still have my readers waiting on me or have y'all abandoned me?

I'm glad to be back! Y'all should show support by commenting below and giving me some stars. That's my biggest motivation.

Palace of Dur: Princess Sola

"Your highness, do you accept to be sent to the Emperor of Lua?" A gruff voice woke her up from her deep reverie. It was really happening; the fate as has been foretold.

She raised her brows up as she exhaled deeply, her eyes planted on her distressed father's face and not on the royal secretary. "Father?" She smiled as she raised her long skirts to walk towards him. "Be rest assured, I'm the true daughter of my father and shall bring honour to our household."

"Oh poor child!" He sobbed into her hair as he deeply inhaled the soft sweet fragrance of the after wash.

The queen silently watched the scene with mixed feeling but was more perturbed on the emperor's temperament as it was well known he was brutal and unfriendly to his enemies. She truly hoped her child would at least be his royal consort and not be merely relegated to a slave as the imperial decree announced.

Sophie who now is princess Sola smiled at her arrays of gift given by her royal mother; a shiny bronze mirror reflecting back a younger and delicate face she'd never seen before, furry clothes made thick to insulate human skin as it was almost winter, hair and clothes accessories, some fine jades and host of other belongings fit for a dowry. She was still a princess of a nation and should have at least that.

Meanwhile, Thor Jasper whose soul had been exchanged with that of a modern day business man gruntedly stood up with the aid of Quin; his faithful servant.

"Sire, we should head back home" he heard him say as he rounded up his arms over him. The baka clan offered up a carriage they came with as few warriors were tasked with escorting him safely.

Home, was especially all Thor needed as he appreciated the idea of a warm shower and deep slumber after a proper medication and stitches over his his long gash of a wound. But while he was oblivious of where he really is, he hopefully believed he would be returned back to the portal he travelled from.

A portal? Yes, a portal. He had returned from a strenuous business trip and was about heading out from the office when a light reflected off from his portrait. The light wasn't strong, it was more like an alluring crescent moon beaming out from a sky with a soft magnetic power that drew him towards it. Believing his secretary must has left him a gift which as should be, a remarkable birthday present, he strut towards and got blinded. After what seemed like a whisper of a sound frizzled on his ear, he laid open on a sight unimaginable; crude men looking down at him in his secretary's arm and he reeking of blood from a wound he knew nothing of.

Lua's palace: Emperor's palace

Home is a living abode you're supposed to be familiar with, right? Well, Thor found a different kind of home. Starting from a long, wide and terrifying metallic gate which could be opened by four hefty men to gigantic mansions sounding each other, troop of military guards fell in line besides him as he hung limply on Quin. Lines of delicate ladies whose faces were so young and beautiful flashed to be by his sides with few other women ostensibly dressed waltzed out as their high pitched cry of a voice rang out.

"My Lord, what has happened to you?" One of the ladies who stood a bit away from him as her ladies-in-waiting held her delicately like a fragile porcelain softly asked.

"We heard the news and couldn't contain our grief, my Lord" another chipped in with her tear stained face betraying her truth as someone who truly had a long sob.
