Chapter 6 : Another transmigrator

News of making the princess of Dur a servant not an imperial concubine or an empress spread in the household and was received with indignation by the people who truly loved and respected their princess.

Thor Jasper was known to have many concubines, each and every one of them ladies of noble birth but from Lua dynasty. They said each lady was of high education and refinement that could only be attained by highest ranking aristocrats of Lua.

"The emperor of Lua has proposed __ not marriage but slavery to our princess and she's obliged to obey, what do we do?". The whisper echoed through the walls as servants and family members alike discussed it .

"Oh my goodness, our Lady shall be wasted as a slave", was the general exclamation and the parents soon fell in a great dilemma.

Sophie, as a princess Sola found the unexpected event absurd as that's different from what history had foretold.

Getting a grip on the whole transmigration thing had left her weary. She had to familiarize with her parents who by chance or by luck resembled her own parents in the modern world. The only difference was that her older brother was a stepbrother, being birth by a different woman, while her annoying younger brother forced himself to remain blood-related even in this world and era.

She also familiarized with her handmaidens.  History fed her information of how her life would be, not the feelings she experienced. The only handmaiden whom history mentioned was Kia because of her heroic deed. She saved her from assassins by becoming a human shield.

That's too intense she thought as she went to find her father.

King Goloth was exceedingly pleased to see her__ this daughter of his was the most important person in his life for she's the one whose birth brought lots of success and accomplishment in his life.

"Little Sola", he called as always, for she will remain the little girl he saw for the first time wrapped in a pink blanket.

"Papa, you seem unexpectedly delighted, is there any mention of good news?", She said as she sat close to him, the happiness in his face expunging her feeling of melancholy.

"It's always a delight to see you my child", was his short reply. He reached out to tousle her hair which left her in positive wonder. Some habits never change she exclaimed in amazement.

They dinned quietly for it was mealtime. Sophie saw her plate of silver and gold filled with such fruits she thought was only seen in sunny, southern climates and tasted wines that might have been the true nectar of the gods. They made some small talks but didn't make any mention of emperor Thor's outrageous request or rather command.

Alas, filled with the folly of one day, King Goloth asked for her opinion but she readily agreed under one condition __ Emperor Thor relinquishes his authority on their Navy and allow free control of their naval base operation. She don't mind being a slave as long as her country is with benefits.

The kingdom of Dur, vastly is surrounded by large bodies of water. Their warship was inadvertently the best in the land. During warfare, their infantry are always defeated but not the Navy because of the training they receive.

The fear of an unexpected attack from them pushed the emperor to shut down practically all their base, half their military power and place them under heavy inspection, causing them to be incapacitated.

Sophie had studied some of the things that had made this kingdom slave to another and had found their military to be weak.

She talked some more with her father,  played some chess with him then retired for some respite, all her anger fully dissipated.
