FINDING OUT

𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐀'𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐕

gasps of shock are heard across the assembly hall, people looking at each other and looking around to see other people's reactions.

most people are shocked but there are some who are nonchalant, secretly happy for her death.

it's sad to say but some people thought she had it coming.
being daddy's little girl and the most privileged student in the school and connected college really does give you some enemies.

people envy her.
wanting to be in her shoes, free scholarship, free university, free everything.
not having to pay for nothing, living like without that much responsibilities.

people wanted to be her.

people like me.

i look over at marissa and aaliyah who are both as shocked as other people.
marissa's eyebrows being raised in shock while aaliyah's jaw's dropped.

chatters start slowly rising up in the hall, people asking other people what happened and who they think did it and how she died.
some people get their phones out and start typing away, probably to other people at different schools or their parents.

my phone dings.
a message popping up.

JUDE: summer is dead?!

ME: i know, i'm really shocked.

JUDE: shocked is an understatement, i wonder what's going to happen to the school.
she is the daughter of one of the chairmen of the group of schools.
the main one being ours as he's running it.

ME: i wonder if they are going to shut the school down.

JUDE: i don't think they can do that.

JUDE: and besides, i think the school is going to try and cover this up and then act like nothing happened.
