"MADDIE WHAT THE HELL!"

"ITS TECHNICALLY ALOUD!"

"NO ITS DEFINITELY NOT ALOUD. WHATSOEVER."

She decidedly ignored us. Running back down the lane from where she had just knocked over the pins herself.

"You really suck you know that?" I muttered, taking a sip of my water.

She grinned. "I know,"

I sighed. We had gotten to the bowling alley around an hour ago and had only made it four rounds so far.

That could've been due to the fact that Sage and Aspen dragged along two of their friends, making us a group of six.

Or it could've been due to the fact that every round Maddie spent about ten minutes deciding what route to take.

Through the legs, overhead, under head, running down the lane, a heavy bowling ball, a light one.

Every round it was something different. And even with that she was still losing.

"Ayo- other m name, your turn!" Maddie yelled at Malia. One of the said friends Aspen and Sage brought along.

Malia pulled herself from her seat, leaving behind her half empty drink she had been indulging herself in.

They grabbed a seven pound ball. Stepping up to the edge of the lane before taking her shot.

She ended up getting an 8 and a 1. Walking back over to our table with hands on her pocket.

"How the hell are you so good at this?" Ember questioned. Another one that was brought- or more like forced by the way she described it- along.

Malia just shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know, just talent I guess?"

"Ha ha so funny."

"I know I am."

We all stared at them. Silently cursing them.

I was pulled from my thoughts by a notification from my phone, I pulled it out to see a new email. Smiling I opened it.

dear miss star,

well i'm unsure as to when you'll read this due to your busy day however i was bored so i thought to send you this message about my day.

i woke up around 6. as you probably know all too well having to be at school by 7:30.

it was a fairly easy morning, my cat was being extra needy though, not that i can complain.

school was bland as per usual. i mean come on senior year you would think things would be more interesting by now but, i guess not.

after classes ended i went to a book store, just browsing. not really looking for anything in particular.

i did find a record i've been looking for however, so that was a lovely surprise.

it's only about 2:30 now. i've just been playing video games ever since i got back.

do tell me about your day when you receive this, i'd love to know,

kind regards, nihachu

I smiled. That was the longest email she had sent me so far. Just that thought alone made me happier than it should've honestly.

"AISLIN! YOUR GO!" Aspen yelled.
