Recovery

Jessica's eye slowly opens awake the sounds of her raspy breath and the medical machines tell her exactly where she is before she could squint against the bright light above.

"Hey Jess, doing alright?" Luke Cage quietly asks, standing next to a sitting Matt Murdock who makes a smile of relief at her recovering.

"No." She breathes out, feeling groggy if she tries to do much in her current state. "Last time I'm driving that...wall crawling nut."

There was a knock at the door as the three look over to see Tony Stark appear in a dark three piece suit giving a quick smile.

"Miss Jones, friends of Miss Jones."

"What the hell do you want?" Jessica croaks, balling up her fist.

"To tell you that all your expenses are being covered, even your car that's been towed back to your parking space on the lower east side."

"Peachy." She deadpans.

"Well if you need anything else Miss Jones just give a call, my AI assistant will take your calls." He places a business card in her free hand.

"How are your super friends doing?" Luke Cage asks Tony to his surprise.

"Oh Spider-Man is doing better than Miss Jones here no offense but I'm not sure about Miss Maximoff's condition actually they kind put her in a more private area."

"I'm what?" Wanda quietly asks feeling her heart dropped, blinking at the doctor in disbelief.

"You're completely normal again Miss Maximoff. Our best team of researchers checked your DNA several times over but you're not superhuman anymore, not even a cell of your powers can be trace throughout you."

Wanda looks down jaw agaped, letting out a shakily breath as her eyes begin to water up. She runs her hands through her hair and shakes her head in denial trying to remain calm.

"There's got to be a mistake."

"I'm sorry Miss Maximoff but unfortunately it's the truth, you're officially powerless."

On The Other Side of the Hospital

"Hey Jimmy, doing alright?" Spidey comes into his room wearing his backup suit (standard red and blue) covered in bandages underneath.

"I'll live though I probably won't be a great gunslinger for several weeks." Jimmy tiredly chuckles.

"We really got into some hot mess didn't we?" Spidey sighs as he sits next to Jimmy exhausted.

"We traveled from different realities and tried to fight a android with a God complex, sounds like the typical Avengers level event."

"Yeah but I hope Wanda is alright, something feels off about her after that iswhole fight."

"Besides creating a new reality and fighting witches and androids?" Jimmy asks confused.

"Yes, besides that Jimmy." Spidey sighs.

"What happened with you two over there anyways?"

"We were trying to reconnect but a house was burning and I sensed you guys we're in danger so we unfortunately didn't have much time to do alot of reconnecting."

"Was that Vision by any chance?"

"Think it might've been, he was flying and phasing around like him or it could be some evil version someone made."

"Either way we got two highly dangerous people with destructive capabilities on the loose, they could be anywhere in the world by now."

"Yeah, this is gonna be top priority now  but we gotta stay alert till we find a way to take them down."

"I can only offer you good luck for now Spider-Man, this is beyond my position." Jimmy chuckles before the two fist bump and Spidey heads out the room.

"And there he is, little troublemaker himself in the suit." Natasha Romanoff says in a business suit standing besides the ever tall dorito shaped Steve Rogers sporting a beard.

"Nat, Rogers. Enjoying retirement?"

"We heard about Wanda, we're here to make sure she's doing okay."

"She created a bubble reality and got her ass kicked by a purple witch and a bond villain with superpowers, okay isn't the best word right now."

"Your other friends doing alright?" Steve asks.

"Jessica will strangle me the moment she gets outta that bed and Jimmy is hanging back for now so yeah you can say that Cap."

"Sam's Cap now, I'm just Steve Rogers." Steve corrects with a raise of his hand.

"He does rock that suit and shield." Nat looks up at him with a smile.

"Oh hey, the three troublemakers." Tony walks up to them adjusting his suit.

"Tony, do you know what's going on with Wanda?" Steve asks concerned.

"Wait, I thought you guys already saw her?" Tony asks back puzzled.

"No, they wouldn't let us in to see her so we've been waiting around here for the past hour now."

"Spidey, did you not see her as well?" Tony points to Spider-Man.

"No, then where is she?"

*Sirens go off as red lights spin around*

"I think that might've answered our question guys." Natasha comments.
