Minho's pov

My coughs and shallow breaths echoed around me as I woke up completely disoriented. I was lying half on the ground and half still in the water, dirt and little branches were sticking on my body.

"Fuck," I cursed, trying to sit down while holding my wound which I felt fresh blood running out of. I looked for my walkie-talkie or at least a gun, but neither of the things were seen. I remembered falling from that building into the river. The stream must have taken me further away from the abandoned factory.

The sounds of water, wind and birds were the only things I heard, decreasing my hope for rescue. There were no roads or city, woods being the only thing I saw all around me. The sun was setting, colouring the sky orange.

"A-Anyone, help!" I exclaimed, groaning as I tried to stop the blood from running out of my stab wound.

"Minho..."

I froze, hearing the voice I had nightmares about from somewhere in front of me. I could see the boy walking from behind a tree. His bleached hair was grown out, face almost recognizable. It did look like him, but there was something so different, so wrong. My stare fell from his face, to see gun in his hand.

"H-How are you alive?" I asked right away.

"I should ask the same about you," Jiseok said with a slightly bored and also annoyed tone in his voice.

"You died. I saw you get shot-"

"Is that what they told you?" He loaded his gun, pointing it upwards right at my head. "I knew they would lie. All of them were dumb fuckers."

"You lied too," I whispered, loud enough for him to hear.

Jiseok chuckled. "I have worked for Hyunjin since the beginning. And if I am not mistaken, I never asked you to trust me. It was your own choice, Minho."

"Why do you work for him?! He kills innocent people!"

"Innocent?!" Jiseok screamed, approaching me quickly with fast steps and pressing the tip of the gun against my forehead. "All the people we killed were working for a monster. They took part in his disgusting activities. Does that make them innocent?!"

I pushed his hand away. "What monster?"

"Yeah, right!" he scoffed, walking away a few steps to exclaim into the open woods. "Magnificent Mister Han is just so perfect! You'd never know what he has done."

"What does Mister Han have to with Hyunjin...?" I asked, before it all dawned on me. "Is he-"

"His father," Jiseok finished for me. "He treated his own son like shit, neglecting him, sending him off to dangerous missions so he could get rid of him. He is not so perfect anymore, right?"

"So, that's Hyunjin's plan? Kill literally anyone connected to his father?" I asked sarcastically, doing a mediocre job at hiding how much this information actually surprised me.

"No, those agents were just for a fun beginning. He wants to kill ATT, slowly, one by one, only until only Mister Han is left." Jiseok smirked, seeing the panic on my face.

It all hit me. The attack on Yeonjun and Soobin, San getting kidnapped, me almost getting blown up – those were all attempts to kill us, destroy ATT.

"I was sent to check if you're still alive," Jiseok went on to say, pointing the gun at me once more. "And if you still are..."

"I trusted you..." I whispered. "I thought we were partners."
