I flew around the Hidden World. The home we dragons have called home for centuries. My dad is Toothless, the alpha, my mom is Kindle. I was the first born child in the family. Making me the first ever Night Light dragon. I have been here for my whole life and don't get me wrong, it's amazing and beautiful... It's just that I'm tired of seeing the same places over and over... Everyday it's the same places, same dragons, and basically same routine... I want to explore the human lands and see a human... I can only ever imagine what they look like. I don't know if they even exist, they're probably just a myth dragons tell... But I still want to explore outside of the Hidden World.
I sat on a ledge near the entrance, looking up to the real sky. I usually came here to daydream about the real world... What creatures I'd see, the islands.... Just something... Anything other than rocks and crystals... My dad flew in from the main area, "(Y/N), what are you doing here? Aren't you-"
"Supposed to be practicing being the alpha? Yeah, Yeah... I know. But dad, I want to see the world! I want to see if humans really exist! I'm getting bored of being here all the time..." dad sighed and looked up at the sky behind the water, "I'll... I'll see with your mother what I can do." I looked up at dad in disbelief, "W-Wait, what? Really?!" I then looked at him cautiosly, "What's the catch?"
"No catch, I just... You remind me of me... When I was unnable to fly... I would do anything to fly again... Like how you would do anything to see the world. Besides, you're 1 dragon year old now. I think you're ready." I hugged him, "Thanks dad!" Dad and I flew up to mom, "Hey Kindle, I was thinking... Maybe it's time (Y/N) went to see the world."
"Toothless! How are we going to contact her? What if she gets hurt? What if a human sees her? What if-"
"She'll be fine... She's our little alpha, remember? Plus we taught her everything we could."
"Yeah, mom! I'm ready!" Mom sighed, "well alright... But you have to come visit us!" I smiled, "Of course!"
It was time for me to go and we all said our goodbye's, I had to stop Pouncer, Ruffrunner, and Dart from crying and reassure them I was going to visit. I flew off and headed towards the sun, I saw small feathered dragons pass by me, mom and dad mentioned other creatures that could fly. From the looks of it these were 'birds'.
I followed the birds at a distance, eventually I saw land and I sped past the birds and landed on the land, I was surrounded by things my dad taught me were called 'trees'. They looked similar to his drawings so they had to be trees. I walked around and saw a lake, I took a drink of water and went to sleep, I was exhausted from all the flying.
