Garfield lay at the edge of his bed, his soft, orange fur glimmering in the light. He lazily opened his eyes and stared at the corner in front of him. No, there wasn't anything particularly important about that corner, he was just tired, like always. He stared at the corner for a few moments before looking rolling onto his back. The lasagna-loving cat just wanted to sleep again, but he knew that his owner, John, would be upset if he just lazed around all day.
Garfield rubbed his eyes in an attempt to wake himself up, but something felt... Different... It was strange- almost foreign. He stopped rubbing his eyes and slowly moved his touch to his cheek. He didn't know how to explain, it was soft, smooth, actually. This wasn't him. Panicked, he jumped off of the bed and sprinted to the bathroom, climbing the counter to reach the mirror. He looked at himself in astonishment and reached to touch the mirror to see if it was real. It was. He didn't know what to feel! Amusement? Horror? Happiness? He looked back at the mirror to check if it really was real, looking back at him was the face of Peter Griffin. After looking at it one last time, Garfield was amazed, happy, words couldn't describe the amount of joy he was filled with. He looked perfect, he had soft, milky skin, a perfect nose that his glasses rested on, and his hair- wow- he couldn't describe it. Apart from his cat body, he cherished the look God gave him out of the blue.
He knew what he had to do. He hopped off the counter and walked to the kitchen, where his owner was cooking his favorite meal, lasagna. He hid behind the door frame and looked back, he saw John and snickered.
"Hey, John~" The cat purred.
"Yes, Garfi- holy-" John was cut off by Garfield walking into the room, showing off his new appearance.
"Like what you see~?" Garfield teased. He watched his owner tug his collar and look away, his face growing a light shade of pink.
"I- uh.." John was speechless, he was flustered from how his pet now looked. Defeated, he crouched down to Garfield's height and looked him in the eyes.
"I know this isn't right, but..." He managed to squeak out a small sentence and grabbed the orange cat's shoulders. "You look... You look too good... You're so handsome now... I don't know what I should do..." Garfield gave a small smirk and pulled John over for a kiss. His owner didn't pull away, he leaned into it, hugging Garfield, deepening the kiss. They pulled away a few moments after, panting loudly.
"I love you, Garfield," John said, sheepishly.
"I love you too, John," Garfield smiled.
Who knew all it took was having Peter Griffin's face.
