You and Meko stood outside of the post office, starting at the mail bin, envelope tightly gripped in your hand. You shook slightly, fidgeting with your fingers. No matter how much you tried, your nervousness was consuming your mind and body.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" You hesitated indefinitely. You were honestly kind of nervous. You had put alot more time and than you're actually willing to admit into that questionare. You let things get a little more personal that you were intending. You were putting alot of vulnerability into the hands of someone you don't even know.

She quickly snatched the envelope right out of your hands. Before you even had a chance to protest, she slipped it into the bin. "Believe me, I did you and I both a favor. If I didn't put it in there, we'd be waiting on you forever."

Yet again, she was right. You just needed her extra guidence and her helpful pushes sometimes. If you didn't have her, you'd always be scared to take the dive. It always gave you the opportunity to be a little more brave and a little more adventurous. As much as you wished you could do it on your own, you will never not be thankful for her little nudge. In its own ways, it was slowly, but surely helping you gain confidence.

You shook from your deep thoughts and back down to reality when you heard Meko call your name. If it wasn't for her consistency, you swear you wouldn't have heard her at all. "Goodness, Earth to Y/N. I've been trying to talk to you for 5 minutes. Where are we going? I'd like to know so I can plan lunch. I am staving." You giggled, continuing your path forward the early morning sun beaming down, making it almost impossible to see the shops in front of you. "Shouldn't have skipped out on coffee this morning, that would've helped with the early morning hungry. I firgured we could go to that little bookstore. I'm in desperate need of something new to read. Then lunch, whatever you want, and then to the grocery."

You took the grocery list out of your purse, scanning over it and then handing it to Meko, who was already scrolling through her phone for lunch ideas. "I'm feeling sushi," she look the list from you, adverting her attentiont ot that instead, "and you also forgot milk...again. I don't know why we thought it was a good idea to put you in charge of the grocery list" You grumbled, taking the list from her & putting it back into your purse. You came to a halt, realizing that you were now in front of the long awaiting bookstore.

There was no better way to spend the day. All your worries, stress and everything in between was washed away at the door as you entered the big quiet building.

You make your way to the romance section. You lacked that intimacy in reality, so this made up for lack there of. Nothing made you feel more than complete than a happy ending.

It honestly despised you for how much you loved romance so much. The stories were all so cliche. There was just a little piece of you that wished things were always that easy. In real life, it wasn't like you could write out a happy ending. It takes time, patience, and someone who's willing to put in the effort. You weren't even sure if they really existed. Not even that, with the career that you were going through, how would you even have the time to maintain a healthy relationship? You worked constantly and the times that you weren't, you were exhausted. That's why you spend so much time enveloped into the stoies, they give you a little bit of hope that maybe one day, things will all fall into place.

You pick out a couple of interested new reads. The same typical, girl meets boy, they fall in love, break up, and at the end, they make their way back to each other. You were practically gawking at yourself. You decided it was time to pull yourself out of the mush and make your way back to Meko, who was more than likely burried somewhere in the thriller section. You stop in your tracks when you recgonize a familiar face on a magazine out of the corner of your eye.

You quickly grab it, observing the 3 fit men on the cover. "The Big Three" written in big letters followed by the caption, "Just how we got to the top." The 3 men lined the front cover, dressed snuggly in their suits. You couldn't help but admire him. His sharp features, bright vermillion eyes, toned body. Even though riddles with scars from years of herowork. Scars from wounds that I could've healed with only a touch. They now linger his body and tell storied of the hardships that he's been through. And even after all of that, he's still manged to keep his physique in tip-top shape. It was no lie that he was a very beautiful man.

You began to picture yourself, staring into his eyes as you mind began to wonder. Would they still hold that hard gaze that he had in the pictures and videos that you seen him in? You wondered about his hands and how the effects of his quirk made them feel. Were they rough and calloused or were they warm and soft? You were dying to know how it felt to be wrapped in his strong arms, or how his lips felt. Was he really as loud and brash as he made himself appear to be? How would it be if you were alone. Your mind was filled with, what you felt, should have been unnessary. But this little part, deep withing you ached to know, and a part of you ached knowing that you may never know.

With all the time that you spent looking at the magazine, you didn't even notice Meko approaching you. She stood next to you, now also looking at the magazine. "They all look so good in that. Especially Deku."

Meko had always had this thing with Pro Hero Deku. Ever since "The Big Three" climbed their way up the hero charts, Meko has been a super fan of the Number 1 Hero. So, it definitely didn't surprise you when you turned around awaiting her to join you, that you seen the magazine in her hand.

"I think that we need this magazine. You know, for..." she paused, "Research purposes." You blinked at her, opening your mouth to respond, but was quickly cut off by your fit of laughter that was building in your stomach. She deadpanned, almost flailing her arms trying to get you to stop your laughing. "No. Don't do that. Don't make fun of me. You can't deny that you also enjoyed looking at them. Plus, when you bring me to meet Deku, I'll have something for him to autograph." She winked. She surely did have a lot of faith in the matter, it definitely made up where you lacked.

At the end of the day, you couldn't lie to yourself that you yearned for winning that contest. Not just because it was Dynamite, but because your heart wrenched in your chest at the thought of you getting older and having no one to come home to. You had dreams of finding the feeling of home inside of someone, being married, having children. The date, may not even get that far, and you weren't getting your hopes that far, but you were allowing yourself to head in the right direction and truly, that was enough for you.

Only one can hope.
