"I-I'll see you again..."
Those were the last words he had heard from Tubbo...before his life had left his body.
He looked around. Not as a person but as a soul.
And a fairly lost one at that. He didnt know where to go, where he was supposed to go. He had forgotten where the death realm even was, it had been so long.
He looked around, not for very long though. He saw Tommy in his God-like form.
His eyes were black with two yellow dots. His wings had gotten a few shades darker, the diamonds more visible on them. A halo in the shape of a heart...a heart on his chest, half of which was a hardcord heart. The other half was completely black. There were black streaks that went from his neck, onto his cheeks, connecting to his eyes.
Why was he here?
Why didn't Tubbo seem to see him?
"Tommy?" Ranboo asked softly.
"So...you're dead now— I'm uh...here to...take you to limbo." He had his hands in his pockets. He looked up to Ranboo, who had grown to he a height of 9'5.
"Oh...so...Tubbo cant...see us?"
"Not yet. Just...just come with me Ranboo. My mum has made a lovely limbo for you." Tommy stated as he took Ranboo's hand and took him to a flower field. It looked...sort of familiar. There were flowers of all kinds.
"Don't stop here, we arent there yet." Tommy said as he continued walking. Ranboo nodded and started walking with him. As they walked the more grey it got. The more dim and sad it looked.
"...so...I dont get a paradise?" Ranboo asked with a tone of disappointment.
"Oh no you do. This was Tubbo's limbo. You share it with him. The environment of the outside is connected to him...so the worse he feels, the more...dead it looks. But that house over there...the mansion...that's yours." Tommy explained, pointing at the mansion that was coming into view.
"...that's mine?"
"Yeah. Pretty sure when Desmond dies he'll have a room here. Or like...his own house next to it." Tommy mentioning Desmond made Ranboo's ears go back.
Desmond probably didnt even know yet.
Desmond, that's he and Tubbo's son. They asked the god of life for a child after Michael grew up and moved out. So the god of life blessed them with Desmond. He looks just like Ranboo, but he has the same horns as Tubbo, the same gap in his teeth. His eyes green and blue. He was outspoken and competitive like Tubbo. Adventurous and passionate like ranboo, and strong-willed. He was probably only about 20 now.
"...I hope it takes him longer to die than it took me."
"It will."
The two get to the front of the mansion and ranboo looked up at it. It was...it was comfortable.
A beautiful home.
It didnt look exactly like the mansion...but Ranboo found it familiar...
"...I have to go. Tubbo is calling. Get comfortable. You're gonna be here awhile by yourself. Maybe Michael will visit actually...when he inevitably finds out. Uh— I'll see you again soon." Tommy teleported away to Tubbo.
Ranboo looked up at the mansion then at all the flowers in the field.
He decided to go inside.
The mansion was big. But not too big. It was cozy. It...oddly already felt like it was home.
He went to the master bedroom. He and Tubbo often spent time in their bedroom when they were in their twenties. Most of the time just to talk and be together. Other times, he and Tubbo would exchange kisses and whisper sweet nothings to eachother.
