It was the morning of my arrival. I missed sleeping in a bed, now i can this place my home. I yawn and get up stretching all of my body, getting ready for the day. I make my bed and sit down putting my canvas sneakers on, yawning and rubbing my eyes after i had finish tying my shoes. I walk over to my bathroom turning the faucet on, water was coming out of the spout! I smile to my self and cup my hand with water and clean my face, washing off the dirt from yesterday. I grab my hoodie from the frame of my bed slipping it on, i put my hair into a style that it wont be in my face. I hear a knock on my door, "ugh...again..?" I walk over to the door slowly out laziness i open the door and see Jesse, with out even noticing a smile forms across my face i was glad to see him. "Sleep well?" He asked gently, "yeah, i missed sleeping in a bed.." i then rub my eyes and grab my beanie from the hook of a tall coat rack and adjust it on my head so it wont bother me for the day. "Wanna go grab breakfast with me?" He asked again, i nod in response and step out closing my door. || Time skipppp :P||
As Jesse and i were walking down the street, Ellie ran and joined us, panting out of breath she started speaking "Hey...guys.!" I gave Jesse a puzzled look and so did he. "Sorry... i ran all the way over here... after i saw you leaving...!" "O-ok..?" We continued walking toward the same spot Jesse took me to eat yesterday, as i was sitting down Jesse looked up at us and asked us what we wanted to eat " Uh I'm good, i ate like half a burrito.. sooo..". Jesse then walked away and disappeared into the small crowd of people. I looked at Ellie, then she looked back at me, i felt a wave of something wash over me, i looked down at the table with a feeling I've never felt before... What is this feeling?? Why am i suddenly feeling this..? I decided just to ignore it..i could still feel her staring at me thought. Jesse then came back
With a burrito and some chicken and rice, "Thank you Jesse.." he set my plate down and sat down himself. "hey whats wrong...? Lemme guess, Ellie was being an asshole to you? If she was ill beat her!"
"No!" I chuckled and smiled still looking down at my plate. I poked at while Jesse and Ellie stared at me, they looked at me like i had 6 heads. Soon enough we had finished eating, "Hey guys i gotta go help Maria with something, bye!" He walked out stepping into the cold snow outside. "Hey.. look i know we just met but, do you want to come over to my place?" I nodded and started to stand up stretching out my body and yawning,i pause my stretching to look at Ellie, she was eyeing me up and down, i immediately stopped stretching, this same unknown feeling came over me again i felt my face getting hot so i looked away. What the fuck is this?! No i cant be... i just met her and i sworn to myself that i liked men...maybe i was just excited about meeting her! Yeah thats it, I'm excited to meet her. "I think you would do good on patrols.." "pa- what?" "Patrols y'know like riding around Jackson on a horse, clearing out any infected you see" she then looked away and fiddled with her thumbs, "Ill talk to Maria later about that, meanwhile lets head over to my place" i nod and push my stool in, waiting for Ellie to do the same. We walked down a road and then behind a house, it was a garage..? "Hey your place kinda looks like mine" i said proudly, she looked up at me with her green eyes, those eyes... something about them just drew me even closer to her... she opened the door to her small home, took her shoes off and went to lay on her bed. She mounted herself up on her elbows, just high enough to look at me, "come lay down". I nod and take my shoes off, setting them by the door gently. I sit down softly on the bed, " hey its fine you can lay down its not weird or anything, were just chilling" she smiled looking up at the ceiling. I look over at her, she then looks back at me, " soo umm... tell me about your self, if you want too no pressure or anything" i nod and proceed to talk about my self.
"Well im y/n, im 18, my parents um got infected when i was 13, my horse died, umm.., i cant think of anything else.." Ellie quickly changes her position, resting on her side and holding her head in her hand. I rest my hand on my stomach, looking at the ceiling i say "Tell me about yourself".. " ok, im Ellie, im 19, i like tooo...pshh i don't know... oh! i like to read comics-" "No way, you have comics?!" She looks down at the sheets of her bed and then back at me, "Yeah like a whole drawer full of them" " Are you shitting me?! What kind of comics do you have!!" I quickly change my position sitting in front of Ellie with my back facing the wall. She chuckled and   Then said "Savage starlight". I looked away, "Sorry i get carried away sometimes", i rubbed the back of my neck out of embarrassment as Ellie looked away. It went quiet, "Hey um ellie..i should get going" i stood up off of the bed and fixed the side of the bed i was laying on. Soon ellie got up and walked over to me, "Hey, i wont forget about talking to Maria about you going on patrols and stuff" .. " yeah, i need to get better at my aim.." i say as i  put on my sneakers. I sigh, i had a great time with her even though it was short, "Bye ellie ill see you later", I open the door and see a girl with her hair in a ponytail ready to knock, "uhh..." i look back at ellie with a confused look. "H-hi..um ill be leaving now.. bye" i walked out the door in a hurry, was i not supposed to be there..?
