It had been 5 weeks since i broke my leg, it felt a little lonely being by myself for that long, but Ellie sometimes came to visit me and she brought me little things here and there like drawings and a painting of snowy mountains, i hung it over my kitchen window. Today is the day i finally get this annoying ass cast off my leg, Ellie said she would come with me to get it off, but then Maria said she had to go out with the others to look for Jesse and Dina, i miss them alot especially Jesse, I probably would've died if he hadn't showed up when he did! After i get my cast off, I'm going with Ellie to look for them.I lift my head to look at what time it is, the clock reads 7:35. HOLY SHIT IM 35 MINUTES LATE FUCK FUCK! I quickly jumped out of bed being careful of my leg as i pull my hoodie over my bare skin. I can walk a little better and faster now but the fucking cast still gets in my way. Later on as I'm speed walking towards the clinic i see Ellie running my way so i wave at her, she waves back at me, she gets closer to me and embraces me with a hug. "Hey" she says while panting "hi" i smile faintly, "come on lets get inside, I'm late!" Ellie kindly opens the door for me and i flash her a quick smile as i walk by her, when i look away i catch a small glimpse of her face turning pink. We walk up the the front desk "Hi um, I'm here to get my cast off". "Yes of course right this way" Ellie and I follow her in pursuit while she leads us to a room in the back, ugh the same green walls as last time I'm guessing we came in through the back? I sat down on the bed they had in the room while one of the nurses brought a saw out, Ellie sat in a nearby chair and watched everything like it was a movie. I watched the saw cut through my cast worrying if it would get my leg, finally i watch the cast crack open and i see my leg. I smiled to myself as she removed it from my leg "You should be good go on patrols or whatever you do now" she smiled at me as i sat up" Thank you ma'am" we walked out the door and when we stepped outside we saw Maria walking towards the clinic hastly, "Hey Maria" i say generously, "(Y/n), we lost one of our patrolman during a blizzard that hit last night, nobody else is willing to go on patrol and your the only one that i can think of, I know you just got your cast off but please (y/n) do it for me?" I fiddled with my fingers a tiny bit "Yeah..." "Thank you so much y/n!" She wrapped her arms around me as i did the same.( bahahdbh Ellie must feel so awkward💀) "Do you think you'll be good to go on patrol with Ellie?..." "Yeah, ill be fine.." "Ok, go ahead and get your things from your house and make your way towards the stable, ill let them know to get your guns and horses ready" Ellie then spoke up, "Thanks Maria we'll get going now" |Timee skippppoo :P| I grab my gun and put it in the back of my jeans, " Ellie, are we taking the creek trails today?" I ask while slinging my backpack on. "Yeah actually" she opens the door for me as i shut my lights off "Thank you" Ellie hums in response. We make our way to the stables as one of the stable hands gives us the reigns to our horses " your guns are in the front" the stable man spoke up. "Thanks" Ellie replied. We guide our horses to the front to grab our guns. I mounted Lucky and slung the rifle over my shoulder i grabbed luckys reins and flicked them to take off. 'This route is so...peaceful' i thought to myself, soon enough we had made it to the lookout, "i kinda miss this place, do you?" "Nehh.." we rode our horses into the building and tied the reins to the pipes that were on the wall, " you know, we should play some videos games at your house when we get back" i flash her a quick smile."Wanna see something cool?" I nod and she motions for me to follow her she squeezes herself through a hole in the wall, i follow her and push myself through. "Holy shit, this is pretty cool" i walk up to Ellie, leaning on a rail and looking out at the abandoned town, i could feel Ellie looking at me so i looked back at her, our eyes met and we gazed at each other, my eyes traced all of her features, her green eyes, the freckles on her cheeks,and then her lips, "h-hey we should um..get going". I saw her cheeks turn a bright red as she looked down, fiddling with her fingers nervously i chuckled under my breath realizing what I've done. I smirk while i walk away, Ellie tracing behind me. I to walk with Ellie as she opens the metal crawl way, i crawl in first while Ellie trails behind me. After we climbed the cord and stepped inside, Ellie stopped and spoke "Sign us in" i nodded and walked to the table with the sign in page open, i write " 3/5 (y/n)/ Ellie, all clear (first letter of your name)-". I set the set the pen down and walk towards Ellie, she was standing at the window looking out, "Ellie," "yeah?" ... I stood there looking at my feet " ah never mind, lets get going" "ok". We untied our horses from the pipes and made our way to the town this time on a different route, i noticed some footprints in the snow leading to what seems to be a hotel? "Ellie look, foot prints wanna check it out?" "Mm, sure" we followed the foot steps and into the hotel we went, before we stepped in side i tied my horse to a tree Ellie did the same and we walked into the building. Soon enough we heard infected. "Godammit" i said as i pulled my pistol out."Well we are on patrol anyways, lets clear em' out" i hummed in response and stayed quiet. I walked carefully and quietly around the lobby, watching my foot placement. I aim for the runners head as it stood there wailing, it dropped to the floor with a loud thud and soon enough came more infected, i quickly turned around and shot a clicker running and flailing its arms towards me, its body falling and blood splattering on my face . Ellie had finished killing two stalkers and soon enough we were done, i spoke up "shit, lets be more carful there could be more" i wiped the blood off my face with my hoodie sleeve. I turned and saw Ellie looking at me, she quickly looked and so did i. We explored the lobby and soon enough we found a door leading down, Ellie started to speak "i see spores, masks on" she put her mask on but i stood there quietly "Ellie.. i don't have a mask".... "fuck, i..ill go look for one in there just stand back" i took a couple steps backwards and she opened the door stepping down the stairs slowly into all of the spores. I waited patiently for Ellie, eventually i sat down on a nearby chair. I felt my eyelids grow heavy, i couldn't keep them open anymore so i fell asleep knowing Ellie could fend for herself. I woke up to the sound of gun shots getting closer to the door so i quickly got up"Ellie?! Are you ok?!" I pull my gun out just incase. I step back from the door as i see her through the glass,"Ellie, shit you scared me" i said while panting "got you something" she handed me a mask old and worn out but still good enough to use. I put it on and adjusted the straps tightly so no spores would get in, then we descended down into the basement...
Oh my god i finally finished the chapter for you guys im so happy rn, i really hope it wont take me forever to write another onee but i love you guys byee❤️❤️ Random ellie pic that i took
