The four best friends from middle school had just arrived onto the beach that's rumored to be haunted. Julie, the eldest and the skeptic of the group, had suggested going onto the beach because she didn't believe the rumors about it being haunted by aliens. Maria, the second eldest and overthinker of the group, had only joined in on this adventure because Julie had reassured her Megan and Adrienne would be coming along. Megan and Adrienne were the moral supporters of the group, who made Maria not act like the Cowardly Lion every time something scary shows up. I should get back to story and let it flow because everything is about to unfold now.
"Julie, are you sure this a good idea? What if there actually are aliens here?" Maria asks, looking around the beach.
"We'll be fine! We live in Florida! It's probably a homeless person on crack making people scared and they made the story up to keep people away," Julie responds, turning her phone light on.
"Julie, we seriously might get caught. This isn't a public beach! This isn't even a beach! This is Devil's Den!" Adrienne points out as she walks by the sign.
"Well all that matters is we get in, confirm the truth about this place, and get out before anyone finds us. Besides, our parents had a drinking party today, they'll be out till morning," Julie says, walking through the brush.
The group hears a security guard yell about them and they run for it. Julie turns off her phone light and sprints towards the opening of Devil's Den. The rest of the group follow with Maria panting like a dog behind them.
"We're going to be the story of the year when we get back!" Megan says while panting.
Maria falls down a hole and grabs Adrienne's leg. Which causes a domino effect of people grabbing each other's legs and falling down a hole. Julie holds onto the vines with both of her hands hoping the weight of everyone else doesn't cause them to fall.
"I saw them go this way!" Another security guard yells. "I think I see one of their hands!"
"Well, we need to make a split decision here. Should I let go or should I swing like Tarzan and hope we hit the hard rock gently!" Julie exclaims.
Everyone looks at each other and back up at Julie. They all screamed for her to let go and everyone free falls into the water not noticing the moonlight filling Devil's Den. Julie swims underneath the rocks and motions for everyone else to hide with her. They avoid the lights from the security guards and wait till there is no sign of humans beside them.
"That was so thrilling!" Julie squeals, popping her head out of the water.
"I admit it is, but I have to blow dry and flat iron my hair again! I have 4c hair down to my waist. This is going to take half the day to do!" Maria vents, looking at her shrinking back into her original state.
"Don't worry we'll fix your hair. Besides, it is my fault we're here in the first place. Come on, let's swim out of here and get some Popeyes! It'll be our secret girls night out!"
Everyone smiles and they laugh under the bright moonlight. The water starts to get warm and bubble a little and everyone just accepts it. They live in Florida, they have definitely seen weirder.

"I still can't believe we managed to escape the security guards twice. Well then, let's change into the spare clothes we brought and head back home to eat!" Julie explains, closing her trunk and putting towels on the seats. "It's 10:30 PM we'll be home before our parents suspect anything!"
Julie turns the heat on and speeds off into the night admiring the vibrant night life. She arrives at Popeyes and gets the food everyone wants and heads back home to her house where everyone eats their food on the patio.
