After that yet again very weird encounter, I told my sister Amina of it all.
I kinda wanted to keep it a secret but I couldn't.
She told me that she had apparently searched him as well and he was a very famous football player for his town as well.
Anyways.
Coming out of his topic,
The plan for today was that I was getting ready for the food distribution I had planned for my ngo.
Last time I had gone there the kids had requested me to bring various things for them. Some wanted burgers, while some wanted cake and some wanted chocolates.
So that was what I was gonna do
I loved to do this. Making others happy made me happy.
The last time I had visited them, the kids had told me that due to corona they had stopped going to school because their parents means of earning had been cut off so they helped them.
These children belonged to a really poor area. The didn't even have homes of their own and lived in make up tents.
Through our Instagram page and donations from my own savings, we had managed a monthly payment to every family and allocated proper jobs for everyone willing to work in that area.
The kids were really sweet. And they seem to like me a lot. So the last time, I had managed to convince them all to join school again and had got them admission in the government school near to where they lived.
I had promised to bring them these goodies if they worked hard the whole month.
And since Amir and Amira were also here these days, they also wanted to join me.
....
After loading all the goodies in the trunk of the car, I finally made my way inside the car.
Amir was driving us since he claimed mine and Amira's driving was pathetic.
"Oh by the way I forgot to mention that I told Saiqa about your ngo and she also wanted to tag along. Is that okay?" Amira asked.
"Yes sure. Are we supposed to pick her up?" I asked.
"No she said she will arrive there by her own."
"Okay."
After that, we got burgers from McDonalds for the kids and continued our journey to their homes.
A lot of people used suggested me to get food from some cheaper place and use that money to get something else for them, but it never coordinated with me.
I always wanted to get for them, what I would have gotten for myself.
And this is what Islam teaches. We are all brothers and sisters. There is no one black or white or rich or poor but we are all equal. A community. That has to be there for others.
....
I was bought out of my thoughts, when lots and lots of kids surrounded our car and started banging.
I always wanted to surprise them but somehow they still always knew when I was coming.
I had two other members in my team too but due to some reasons they couldn't make it that day so it was only me who had to organise everything.
I was glad I had Amir and Amira to help .
What I loved about those kids tho was that they were very well behaved. Because as soon as I stepped out of the car, they also stepped aside and made way for me to come out.
