Chapter 3 - Anne & Anne

"The Science Block will be closed until further notice," stated Ms Anne, the Head of Science. The bell rang loudly from the Bell Tower in the East of the building: assembly was over. It was Wednesday but the whole school already knew about the fire, even though, most students weren't there to witness it. Because the Science Block needing rebuilding, the students were having their science in the Assembly Hall.

''According to what I know from my Computer-Science 'Beneficial Afterschool Activity'- '' Cheryl started but she was interrupted.

"No Cheryl, you pronounce it as 'BAA,' not Beneficial Afterschool Activity. 'BAA!' Just like a sheep." Corrected Hebrew. Cheryl rolled her eyes playfully.

"Anyways, according to my 'BAA,' every student's profile is on this website so that the parents can check on their child online!" Boasted Cheryl, only continuing after seeing Hebrew's confused face, "so, according to the appearance of that...thing, that...silhouette, we can find out who it was!"

Hebrew changed his facial expression to an obviously fake smile. "You don't understand what I said, did you?"

Hebrew maintained his fake smile and nodded.

"Then let's get to it!"

The moonlight was almost as bright as the sun, the stars twinkled like a candle. Cheryl was glued to her laptop, repeating names.

"Penny, Ono, ha, funny name!" Giggled Cheryl, as she scrolled down an endless screen, "Teddy Decker, aww, quite cute, Helen Cat, mehie, Miranda Shire, nerdy, Rondo Casa, weird, Heather Wand, never heard of her; Hebrew Coffé, wow, his surname is Coffé; Ruby Anne, Kate Amundi, wait... Ruby Anne aka Anne Junior! Daughter of Ms Anne! Appearance - curly, light brown hair, no freckles, no glasses, usually wears a blue hair band. Hair length - considered somewhat short. Yep! It was her! More evidently, is her mother is the Head of Science!"

The next morning was a bustle. Cheryl and Hebrew had little to no classes together that day but Cheryl was so pumped on telling Hebrew the news. Just when she had the opportunity, Anne Jr. gave her a look of disgust, so powerful, Cheryl backed off. Cheryl had to wait a whole week until the news died down because Anne Jr. haunted Cheryl for the next few days.

That night, the school grounds lit up, the school looked fabulous! The lake had the reflection of the perfect full moon and the trees caught glimpses of the light. The lush grass became moist in the light drizzle and the chimneys from the dorm houses puffed smoke that dissolved into frost.

As the sun began to rise, a light orange and yellow hue spread across the sky. The tip of the blooming colours faded into a clear blue sky. As the glowing sun climbed higher up into the sky, students came rushing out of the school doors, shouting, and throwing toilet paper everywhere!

"HA-LOW-EEN!!" They all shouted. "Woohoo!"

The danced around the school ground and paraded amongst the swaying trees. Celebration music was bursting out of some radio and the school grounds filled up with pumpkins and toilet paper very soon. The bustling sound of cheering and chatting around the fields was rowdy. The large crowd made their way across the grass to the gate; there, they placed some pumpkins down and continued to party. Suddenly, someone shouted,

"Detention!"

The students parted to see Ms Helen, she was wearing an orange dress with a Jack 'o' Lantern on it. She also wore a white scarf that looked like toilet paper. She was pointing at Cheryl, who had two books in her hands.

"Since you're not having fun, you won't have to have fun in DETENTION!" Ms Helen bellowed, "follow me."

She left the field, leading Cheryl along behindher. Just when she entered the school doors, the students went wild again.However, through a window, a woman sat, sitting on a large armchair, sipping amug of coffee.
