He Forgets ▪︎ Xiao x Aether ▪︎

Chapter One

*the story won't completely be following the same story line as the genshin franchise. I would also like to add that I'm writing this on my phone, which might make it hard for me to fix my grammar mistakes from time to time. I hope you can understand.*

• Chapter One •

The traveler just walked into liyue.

by paimons words it was named: 'the city of contracts.'

Which made no sense to Aether but he continued on without saying anything which annoyed paimon to no end. The atmosphere was different from mondstadt. It felt like fall, while in mondstadt it exhibited the spring.

Aether closed his eyes, trying to grasp if his sister would want to stay in a place like liyue. a feeling in his heart told him otherwise, but he continued on.

He might find clues which is better than nothing.

The traveler notices a middle-aged man walking past him, so he asked him what part of liyue he's in.

Paimon grumbles out a soft "you could've asked me" while pouting and looking away.

"Stones gates." a raspy yet defined voice leaped into his ears as the sun started to set as the npc walked away towards mondstadt.

For once in Aethers life he felt the need to sit down and collect his thoughts. It felt as if everyone wanted to help him, but never gave him enough information or they wouldn't help him at all.

At one point he thought paimon was going to start speaking gibberish if he just straight up asked her where his sister was.

He noticed that it was almost night so he asked a question hoping paimon would answer.

"What's a good place for us to say, plus, if you tell me we could get some good food~" Aether playfully tells Paimon as he let's out a soft grin.

Paimon begins to drool while happily telling him a place where they can stay.

Wangshu Inn, it sounds interesting the traveler hums out.

Maybe someone useful can finally help him find his sister, he thought while he walks alongside paimon to go to their next location.
