"What was a chicken?"  I thought to myself, as I ate my food.

I already learned that I was a puppy, my name was Coco, and all of the Hooman's names. Aanya, Raam, Mama, and Papa. So what was a chicken? I remembered, on the tour, Aanya said she would introduce me to the chickens later. But I was CURIOUS. Were they creatures like me?

"Are you enjoying the chicken, Coco?" Aanya said.

Huh?  What? I thought chicken's were living?

When I finished my food, Aanya came up to me.

"Wanna go for a walk?" Aanya held up my harness and I started wagging my tail.

When we were outside, I smelled so many smells, and I chewed the yellow grass. I saw another person walking down the street. Yay! More Hoomans to play with! I immediately ran to the Hooman. Aanya tried to control me with the leash. But I was intent.

The big Hooman laughed and said, "Cute dog of yours." Then left.

"Coco! Don't go to strangers!" Aanya scolded as we walked.

Another Hooman! I slowly ran up to the Hooman. I expected it to laugh and smile, but it groaned in disgust. And ran away.

"See, that can happen, and we could get in trouble." Aanya said.

I sulked the rest of the way home.

The next day, when Aanya had to go to school, I set up my plan, to sneak into the chicken's house, and talk to them, say hello. I'll even bring the toy that I dug up, as a peace offering, you know, for boundries, so they know where my territory, and their territory is. I slowly went over to their area.

When I entered the chickens territory, I saw chickens here and there, and a big chicken house in the middle. It was like my dog house but BIGGER. Unfair.

The chickens all got up and stared at me. "Go speak with Master Helda" One chicken said to a smaller chicken.  Soon, a big chicken came out, it was the biggest of them all.

"What are you, a 'not chicken' doing in the chickens area?" The big one asked.

"I've come to ask you what you are. You don't look like me, and I just wanted to know, Aanya said you were aggressive. Also to let you know where our territories are."

"Stupid animal  I am Helda the master of the chickens, anyone who disobeys me will.. will.. well, I'm not sure because no one's disobeyed me. BUT YOU. YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO SAY 'I DON'T LOOK LIKE YOU?!' You are an animal  I am a big chicken, who OwNs ThE wOrLd!" Helda boomed.

Oof.

"As a peace offering, I brought my toy, I love this one, but you can have it, you know, peace offerings and stuff." I said.

"Let me see if this gift  of yours has any meaning." She closely examined my toy, until she said. "Useless. Peck it," and threw it behind her, till I watched the chickens destroy it by pecking it.

"So anyway," I said nervously, "Just wanted to say hi, since we're kind of neighbors."

"Yeah, yeah. You disrupted us just now, when we were doing nothing." Helda said.

"I don't really think that's disrupting, since you weren't doi-"

"Why are you really here, to steal our land? Our home?"

"No- I just wanted to say hi."

"Well you said much more than just hi. Now leave." Helda turned around and started walking back to her palace.

"I thought you were good, because you sure did taste good yesterday."

All the chickens gasped in horror. Helda stopped, "What did you say?" She turned around.

"You.. uh, tasted good yesterday?"

"YOU ATE A CHICKEN?!" Helda asked, shocked.

"Y-y-y-yes?"

"PECK HIM." Helda boomed to her chickens. The chickens started running angrily towards me. I ran out, they were just behind me, I started running faster, so did they. Then Papa the Hooman came to me.

"Coco, we've been calling you for lunch c'mon!"

"PHEW!!" I barked, as the chickens started running back to their territory.

I ate "beef" and had a nap, the day was good, apart from the chicken fiasco.
