Michael looked very happy sitting on that bed reading his book. Like something different has entered his life truly for the first time. So I walked in and sat on a chair by his bed. He excused the nurse away from us and we were in the room alone. His smile is so bright, I think I might need to wear some shades on my face.

"Welcome to my crib."

His face and the way he said it made me giggle a bit on the outside. Although inside I was dancing around with laughter trying to contain that monster inside me. As I look at him closer I can see his features. His hair is as creamy as chocolate that comes down to his ears. His skin is a pale as a sheet of snow. Most likely from not seeing the sun in too long. But he has these little freckles all around his body like the tiny islands on a map. OHHHHH, and his eyes are the deepest, most pure color of blue. Like I'm gazing into an unlimited sky. I walk in and all my mind thinks about is how cute this guy looks. Hey don't take this the wrong way I'm not in love he just looks cute.

"So what's your name?"

"You can call me Stella" I replied with my head held high. Then he looked at me in concern like he's trying to figure something out.

"Why are you visiting me?" he starts questioning. Now I have to go through another interrogation on the same day.

"I came here to see you and see how you're doing." Not even a second passed after I said that before he said "YOU'RE LYING!" How could this kid know I am lying?

"Now what makes you say that?"

"OK, I have an eye for things and I can see that you were lying due to your eyes kind of surfing around and the hesitation." Wow he's good.

"What else do you know about me?" I questioned.

"OK, at first glance you seem like a nice person. You're getup of jumbled dark clothes show that you like to camouflage at night. Which may mean you're a runner, and that must mean that you're part of the Robin organization. Also you're wearing long sleeves in the heat of summer which is not normal. But it might be that you're always wearing long sleeves because you want to. But you're sweating a lot, so it must mean one thing. You are hiding something inscripted on your body, something like a tattoo. As well if the nurse brought you here it must mean you don't know your way around. Therefore you must have been looking around to find out how to get around. Maybe getting ready for when you steal from the man next door." Wow! He's got me all figured out.

"Well congratulations you know exactly who I am. What are you waiting for go tell them" He lifted his eyebrow at me looking confused.

"Nah, I like a little mix up in my life. So instead of seeing nurses and doctors all the time I can the black snake bandit. Isn't that fascinating?" It's like I've been caught in his trap. Although it's nice to see someone like him once in a while. Someone full of love and hope with everything around him even though he probably only has a few years to live.

As the day went by I talked with Michael getting to know him better. He's just like me with no parents and no one who comes to see him. The only person who does is his friend Matt. When I look at him and the situation he's in, it kind of reminds me of me. It's weird but true. My parents never took care of me and they never cared for me. That's why I get all those nightmares. But what do I have to do. We talked for ages and I never wanted to leave. I wanted to hear his story from the beginning to the end. My thoughts were entranced to his stories creating pictures in my mind of what he's saying. Discovering how he sees the world. This was until his doctor broke in on us and said that he has to give him the new medicine. So that means that I have to go. Also as I look out the window the sun was drowning into the beautiful orange, red and pink colors all around it. Oh god, I'm late for our weekly meetings at HQ.

As I left I told myself that I have to come back frequently to him. To keep him unexpected. This kid he has a gift a talent and for it to be thrown away with that terrible sickness is such a waste. I can see that he's doing fine so I wondered how long he's been there. I went to one of the nurses who works in his area and asked her "For how long has Michael been here. When she replied I went into a state of shock.

"Michael's been here ever since he was two years old." Now what?!
