Chapter 4

Zane put the card he drew in his hand and grabbed his Spell card "I activate the Spell - XYZ Reboot! If I have an XYZ Monster in my graveyard I can bring it back to the field with it's effects being negated and it's Attack and Defense becoming zero! So I bring back Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon!" Zane yelled and the dragon roared back to the field "Next I set the Pendulum Scale with Xiangke and Xiangsheng Magician!" Zane grabbed his two magicians and placed them on both ends of his Duel Disk, the monsters ascended to the sky behind him in pillars of light and hovered above "With the scale set I can summon from my hand, the dragon I put up for grabs! I Pendulum Summon, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Zane slammed his card against the Duel Disk and Odd-Eyes materialized onto the field "But he won't be staying around for long! Next I use Xiangke Magician's Pendulum ability! An XYZ Monster on my field can have it's Rank treated as a Level. so my Dark Rebellion's Rank 4 becomes a Level 4. Next I'll use Xiangsheng Magician's Pendulum ability to have Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon's newly obtained Level, equal the level of a Level 5 or higher monster on my field, and the only other monster on my field is my Odd-Eyes!" Zane said, both the magicians reacted changing Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon's Rank to a Level and making it Level 7 "I know what you're about to do and it won't work! I'll use my Borreload Savage Dragon's ability to stop you!" Jason yelled and his dragon roared in response "Hate to burst your bubble Jason. But on the turn XYZ Reboot is used to bring back an XYZ Monster, you can't activate your monster's effect to stop me from XYZ Summoning." Zane said with confidence and Jason stepped back "No way!" "Yes way! Now I overlay my two dragons to build the Overlay Network!" Zane shot his hand into the air, the top of his hand shot with more of that burning sensation and a sigil began to take form on Zane's hand "You guys see it too?" Spencer asked "What is that?" Lily asked and they all watched in amazement.

Jason's dragon seemed to move backwards as if it were scared "My dragon is backing up? But why?" Jason asked, his voice filled with fear, the next words Zane spoke flowed out of his mouth as if what he was saying was normal "The dragon with dichromatic eyes, resurrect from the dark abyss and signal the birth of my power! All will return to ruin and chaos will reign! I XYZ Summon!" A pillar of fire shot from behind Zane and the form of a dragon began to take form, it's eyes shined green and red and magma coursed along it's body "Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon!" the pillar disperse and the dragon revealed itself "It still isn't enough to beat my dragon." Jason said "That's where you're wrong. I activate my Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon's special ability! By using one of it's Overlay Units, I can wipe your whole field and for each card destroyed my dragon gains 200 Attack Points for each card! You have 1 face downs, a field spell, your trap and your dragon! So my Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon gains 800 Attack Points!" Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon's wings shot around the field, sticking into the ground and giving off fire, the fire destroyed all the cards on the field and Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon roared as his Attack Points soared to 3600 "Even if you do attack I'll still survive." "Wrong." "What?!" "By using my dragon's remaining Overlay Unit. It can attack twice." Zane's voice was dark "No... It can't be! I have one of the strongest cards! You can't-" "I'll tell you something my brother told me last night. You know, the one you said was a pitiful duelist. He told me, that it's not about the cards in your deck. It's about the duelist who uses them. Live with the fact that I will forever be a better duelist than you. Finish this Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon!" Zane yelled and his dragon roared, a circle of blue flame formed in front of Odd-Eyes and the heat intensified "Infernal Fury Strike!" Zane yelled and Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon roared and shot out it's breath attack, it rushed forwards and covered Jason. He howled in pain as his Life Points went down the zero, he fell to his knees and his deck scattered across the ground. Zane was declared the winner. 

The crowd cheered as Zane walked over to Jason and picked up Robbie's Hi-Speedroid Kendama "This belongs to Robbie." Zane said and made his way to his friends "Holy crap! Zane that was amazing!" Kiera exclaimed and Zane chuckled nervously "I guess so. Here Rob." Zane handed Robbie his card and Robbie's eyes lit up "Thank you Zane." Robbie said and Zane nodded "Great match little bro." Zane turned to see his older brother Cayde with his twin sister walking towards them "Cayde why are you-" "I wanted to come watch it for myself, so Zay brought me in. I was surprised to say the least. Pulling back against a card that almost cost you to duel." Cayde said, referring to Jason's Borrel End "I didn't think he'd have Borrelend Dragon though."  Cayde looked over to see Jason's friends attempting to help him up "About what he said about you Cayde-" "Don't wear yourself out over it Z. There are some people that think that way but I am glad to know my little brother will defend my skill as a duelist." Cayde said "So you gonna start dueling next Zay?" Spencer asked Zane's sister and she tilted her head "What if I am already am?" She said mysteriously and everyone laughed "Hey Zane." Spencer said and Zane turned to him and Lily "What's up?" "During the duel, right as you were summoning Odd-Eyes, your hand was glowing." Lily said and Spencer nodded "It's like there was a symbol burning on your skin." He said and Zane looked down at his left hand, the burning sensation was gone and there seemed to be nothing wrong with his hand "It looks fine to me." Zane shook his hand and the two exchanged looks "Maybe we were just seeing things." Lily said "Come on, guys. Lets go get something to eat. On me." Cayde said and everyone cheered, exiting the courtyard. As Zane reached the exit, he looked down at his hand and remembered the burning sensation from the duel and examined his hand "What they saw... and my dream. Is it connected?" Zane thought and shook it off "Wait up for me guys!" Zane yelled and made his way to his friends.
