He is not an ardent food connoisseur nor a skilled chef in his past life, but circumstances led to him being given this job

Cooking seafood. Boiling lobster. Grilling fish. The smell of food in the morning rouse one's hunger from their sleep

"Food should be treated with the same respect as other people. Be careful not to waste unnecessary things"

Jaye told him on the first day of his job.

Does this guy consider anyone he meet as food? I haven't glance at his profile yet, but it wouldn't be a surprise if Jaye turns out to be a psycho

At least Lappland is faring better than he thought

"Chop! Slice! Decapitate!" While yelling those violent profanity, her knife descended and cut off the fish's gills in one swift stroke

Every cut is immeculately clean and precise. His companion gave off the vibe of a three star Michelin chef in their prime. He made to ask if she had experience preparing dishes before

"What? Of course! I'll have you know my handmade "mile-feuille" is a specialty few can resist"

"How do you make that?"

An excited smile stretched across the Lupo's face

"First, you peel off their skin, then widen the incision to optimize bleeding. The trick is to do so gently and slowly so they won't faint out of shock. If you rearrange them right, the flesh tissue would look like flower blooming!"

As she said this, Lappland moved her hand holding the blade in a slicing motion

A line of blood was drawn, and the struggling fish underneath her went still

The boy decided, right then and there, Lappland can't be trusted with customers

It's one thing to leave a psychopath manning the store, it's another thing to have the suspicious-looking boss refusing the position

"I don't have time for that." Jaye prepare his food on the grill, blowing away the smoke with a fan "Customer only comes when they want good food. You man the stall"

Boss, you are just putting the more troublesome jobs for me, aren't you?

He returned back out. By this time, the sun had risen up in the slum, and some walk the street in search of things to buy

The slum is just like what he imagine a downtown district would be like, albeit with more rundown buildings and unruly-looking guys murking about. It's almost like a black market

The day passed quietly, with them making sales from the regular here. It is hard to think just months ago he was sitting there in the prison waiting death

Unbelievable, indeed

Just, the peaceful atmosphere here almost make him forget about the turbulent world outside. It's only been weeks, but he could not help but feel anxious

And why, it is the existence of Canon

Arknights is a game whose plot he did not understand. He know the setting, characters, and some events, but the timeline is all over the place. Hard to piece together

He could not remember where Lappland is before she join Rhode Island. It could be inferred she escaped the prison by herself and wander across the land

At one point, she probably came across the landship, or was recruited by them.

What about Angelina? Did she remain in Siracusa? Her job as a Messenger had her go to a lot of places. Did he influence her chocie to go to Lungmen first?
