The story is written by a person who does not know Arknights

As I am writing this based of off my brother's excessive random lore rant, some information might be wrong. Some might not

Either way, I am stuck on my Fate story and figure it would be cool to vent this on a franchise I'd never touched before, so my mind can stay refreshed

Well, enjoy...I guess...or you don't have to...but just saying...

______________

When being in a claustrophobic environment in a long time, the human mind became more and more extreme. They became easily irratable, crying without warning, and sometime suffering from irreversible trauma to their spirit

Throw them into an alien world. Arrest them for a disease they caught. Being locked into a room with people that are not human.

Over time, the subject in question slowly succumbs to a state of confusion and lunacy

Although food and water are delivered to them every day, nobody ever talk to them. This environment is enough to drive a person to the point of insanity

Of course, it is not only because of the disease that he is isolated from the others

In this world, there exists animal people and furry

People who have animal traits, and actual anime with human anatomy frame. Then there's him, who is...a homosapien

"Homosapiens? What's that?"

"...A non-existent specie that allegedly have no notable anatomical traits. Speaking from an evolutionary standpoint, they are closely related to monkey. But the difference ends there"

If you strip him naked and examine every corner of his body, you would discover there are differences here and there. Minor differences that shouldn't be taken notes of

In any case, being a human in a world full of superpowered animal people high on source stone disease is not an advantage one would normally feel good about

"The puzzling thing, everyone in this world are generally known as "human", even when they have the additional characteristics of other animals in their anatomy"

The boy locked in the cell could only sigh helplessly. The inmates around him could not contain their curiosity at this odd phenomenon

From the standpoint of an otherworlder, the way he talked to himself every day, every minute, every second, is slowly driving them insane. Mutterings rose along with frustrated growls

"Man. This guy is talking nonsense again"

"Just ignore him. Probably turned into a nutjob from Oripathy or something"

"What?! Then why is the bastard locked in here with us?" An extremely frightened shout rang out from amidst the cell's limited space "As if one of them isn't enough!"

"Shhhhhh!" A finger was pressed to his lips as everyone fell into panic "Don't yell. We don't want to wake her up now!"

Although it is a shared cell, 95% of them have congregated to the other corner to his left. In normal situations, it could be said they are afraid of a person who may have been afflicted with Oripathy's madness. He knew it is not the case

After all, he is the only barrier separating between these murderers with something even worse than them

______________

The year is unknown. A terrible year

He originally came from Earth. His name, he did not remember. His life, also forgotten. Signs of amnesia. Still retain enough common knowledge from Earth to recognize incongruity from the current timeline

The amnesiac wandered around this barren kingdom known as Siracusa, from battlefield to battlefield. He occasionally takes time to rest, then starts moving again as soon as the earliest sign of conflict start

It was only three weeks, but he learned the inhabitants of this new world are ridiculously powerful compared to human.

Explosive fighting strength. Movement that blur into shadows. Miraculous spells that would not look out of place in a normal fantasy novel. Faced with those overpowered individuals, he is reminded of the human race's biological inferiority in comparison

It was unknown how long he wander next. He only knew to salvage what remains of the bloodbath left behind. They are normal occurrences in Siracusa, mainly because of the conflicts between Mafioso there. He learned how to survive in such dangerous places, and eventually got used to it

Until some infected faggot exploded in the middle of the street right next to him!

The boy glared at the black crystals growing out from his arm. These tiny sized dots that look inconspicuous to outsiders ended up the reason why he was caught and thrown into prison

The main reason is for lack of identification and attempted murder, but with the discrimination against infected here, how could he not find out the true reason?

In the authority's eyes, even if he is innocent, the mere signs of infection warrants a degree of containment on the same level as the vilest of rapists and killers. Locked in the same room with these horrible people and yet discriminated by them, he felt like he is alone

"Lonely. What am I suppose to do" A bitter expression crossed his face "Can't escape this place. Prison material too strong. The guard patrol are not pushovers either. Are they waiting for me to die here?"

In this claustrophobic space, thus the human descends into a spiral of madness

"Hey, miss. You still there?"

If a madman become immersed in his own madness, even the deepest of abyss becomes the tantalizing target for entertainment, and the most monstrous of animals could not stop him

Thus the human struck a casual conversation with the monster on the other side of the prison bar

"...."

No answer came. The person lying on the bed did not move. Of course, he is aware of the other party still being wide awake, and thus could only shake his head in vain

The young woman on the adjacent cell is a white-haired Lupo. That much at least he can tell, and from the various glimpses he had of her face, she has a scar running down her left eyes, adding to it a crazed hint that would deter any onlooker from staring too much at her

"The other guys here seems pretty fearful of you" He remarked "I see you have Oripathy too. How long have you been here? A week? A month? Did you come here last year? What crime did you commit?"

No, he could see the Oripathy on her body is merely an accessory to other's avoidance of this woman. Something about her dreadful presence caught his interest

"Anyway, I don't have a name, but it would be pretty cool to know yours, though I doubt it will be something girlish. Do they call you Scar because of the--"

"...Lappland"

He did not anticipate the quiet answer. When the boy looked over to confirm again, the wolf girl had gone silence, facing the wall so he could not see her face

The next few attempts at a conversation quickly end in silence, but a smile have made its way across his face.

Life in the prison of Siracusa doesn't seem to be boring as he thought after all
