“Karl what are you talking about?”
George's friend had been ranting about some Record store for the past hour and a half.
“Im talking about a record store! It's my favourite place in the city!” Karl seemed really enthusiastic about this place. “I HAVE AN IDEA!” Karl suddenly shouted. “You should go there!”
George seemed puzzled “To the Record store?”

“Yes the record store! Are you dog water or something?” Karl rolled his eyes. “How rude! Shame on you!” George joked. “But okay, I'll go to the shop later.” After Karl and George talked for 30 more minutes, and Karl  had then gone home, George decided to get ready and go to the Shop.

George went into his room and changed into black jeans, a light blue
T-shirt with a red and white logo saying '404' on it—and a white zip-up hoodie. He put on his shoes and then he brushed his teeth and walked outside, locking the door behind him. As he walked outside, the cold weather hit him, and his breath was shown in the air in front of him, George shivered at the cold.

Realizing he didn't know where the shop was, George texted Karl.

Karl

Hey, where exactly is this shop?

It's located at 1234 Mooshroom
Street :]

Okay, thanks Karl!

No problem, bye!

Bye!

George put his phone away and started walking towards the address, he estimated it would be a 15-minute walk. His face was already pink from the cold temperature. Deciding he would get bored just walking, he put in earbuds and listened to his playlist on the way there. While he was walking, one of his earbud pieces fell off. George frowned irritably. When George finally arrived at the Record shop, it was already 11:35 in the morning. He put away his broken earbuds and turned the music off.

George opened the door to the shop and he was greeted with a bell ringing to signify someone had walked in. He was already warmer as the door shut, and the temperature was warmer inside the Record store. George looked around, knowing he wouldn't get anything, at the fact he doesn't have a record player. He strolled through the aisles so he didn't seem like he went in for nothing. After a couple minutes he saw a pair of earbuds, they were nicer than his current pair, at the remembrance they had broken, so he decided to buy a new pair, they were lime green, according to the label, with a white cord.

George was greeted at the counter by a tall boy with dirty blonde hair, and emerald green eyes. He had freckles and was about 6'3" and he was seriously attractive at that. He smiled as George walked up to the desk.

“Hello! Welcome to the store, what would you like to buy today?” He seemed genuinely nice, not in a fake, preppy worker way.  “Actually, I'd like to get these,” George set down the lime earbuds. “Okay, got it! That'll be $3.50!” the worker smiled. George looked through his pocket, pulling out $3.22. “Oh- nevermind I won't be getting these, I'm a bit short of change.”  George smiled apologetically. “Actually, it's no problem! I'll cut in a deal, just for you. Don't tell my boss though.” The worker checked out the earbuds and handed them to George, their hands touching for a moment. “Oh- Thank you sir!” George looked flustered.

“Oh, but of course, uh, what's your name?” The worker asked confidently. “My name is George.”  George replied almost instantly. “George, huh? That's got a ring to it.” The worker smiled. The comment left George looking flustered for a moment. “Oh- thanks again!” George smiled at the worker. “Have a good day!” - “You too, Gogy!” George laughed, and as he was about to leave the boy had said something. “Oh, Right- George!” George turned around to look back at the worker. “My Name,” he started to say, George remembered he completely forgot to ask. “You can call me Dream.”

George left the store and started walking home, it was already 12:50pm. ‘Dream, Huh?’  George thought to himself, ‘Is that a nickname? I wonder what kind of story is behind that. Maybe I'll have to go back and ask tomorrow.’ George took out the new earbuds and put them on, starting to listen to his playlist.

When George got home it was 2:05pm already. He set down the ear buds and took off his jacket, and when he took off the hoodie a note fell out of his pocket. Though it was just the receipt, George noticed writing on the back. Had Dream left a note?

‘Come back tomorrow, George. ;]’

That's it. That's all it said.
George was flustered at the note, even though it was just a couple words, why though?

George decided to take a nap, and when he woke up it was already 8:40pm. He decided to make himself some dinner, which was just a bowl of cereal and some water. But  nonetheless, it was dinner. He got on his phone and decided to text his friend Karl again.

Karl

Hey Karl I went to the
record store today

Wasn't it cool! Who was
working there today?

Oh! His name was Dream. I will
admit, he was really cool.

Ooh, I don't think I've met him!
You'll have to introduce me
Some time! ;)

Yeah, haha!
Delivered, 11:05pm

What did Karl mean by the winking face? Did he have some meaning behind it? I guess he just thinks something weird.’  George was over thinking what Karl said, and realized it was somehow already past 11pm and George was tired.

He changed into shorts and a different shirt, brushed his teeth, and got in bed, George yawned and closed his eyes. Thinking about the guy he had met today, Dream. ‘I guess I'll have to see tomorrow.’ George smiled and started to fall asleep.

I didn't feel like a dream, George was in the woods looking around. For something. Someone. He was sprinting through the forest, it was cold and he didn't have a jacket. He stopped running instinctively and a parking lot appeared in front of him. Dream was standing there, and offered George his jacket.
“Dont freeze on me, Gogy.” Dream smiled.  He put his jacket on George, who felt truly warm for the first time in a long while.

Then he woke up.
George yawned, frowning at the realization. What kind of dream was that? Looking at the time, he noticed it was 10:30. It was almost time to go to the Record shop. And George didn't know why he wanted to go back, but it just felt right.
