Chapter 1

Phil looked into the early morning horizon eagerly going to the campfire from the previous night the re light it's warmth. He sniffed the air while walking over to the community house noticing an unfamiliar alpha scent. As he knew that punzes rut was scheduled for the next month he put it off and made a mental note to make sure punz was safe comfortable and had the medicine provided by Karl niki and puffy from last months foraging.

The packs roosters began to cry and signalled the pack to come to the community house for breakfast servings and the days plan. Slowly people started filtering out of there tents antfrost and velvet both being early risers quickly rushed to the community house both already dressed and ready to help prepare and serve the packs morning meal.

As the pack all started to help themselves to a serve of the fruit and nut porridge (Phil was a big fan of porridge) Phil went over the days schedule. "ok morning hunting groups are techno, sapnap, velvet, antfrost and then Callahan, myself, Wilbur, Punz and George" read Phil in a calm clear voice. "Evening groups" he continued "Karl , punz, hannah can you guys try and find some rabbit and then myself techno punz skeppy sapnap and will try and catch something big"

"DADDDDD I WANTED TO GO HUNTING NO FAIR" Tommy grumbled "schoolwork and gathering with puffy and Kristen for today for you four" he smiled looking over at ranboo, Tommy, tubbo, and the packs youngest fundy. If I haven't mentioned you or you have off time pls help with the building fixes and community chores I know there not the funnest thing to do but they have to be done" ok starts in 20 minutes get ready

George stumbled into his solo cabin and sleepily started to change into his clothes.

Another day in the pack another day of being single he thought to himself glumly. George was someone who would've loved being mated and having Cubs by this time in his life tho he knew he wasn't old and had another 25 year at least to do that stuff he had to admit he was feeling tired of the loneliness and

Was starting to think about getting with one of the three single off age alphas the pack had to offer. Issue was punz hannah and techno all felt like siblings to him much like the rest of the pack and the idea of anything more than a platonic hug between himself and one of them was enough to make him throw up. Not like any of them had any romantic feeling for him anyways techno was a gruff free spirit who George couldn't see ever settling down while everyone shipped punz and Hannah together in Secret.

He yawned and met up with Wilbur. Wilbur was on the quiet side he tended to open up a lot more in smaller groups but he hadn't fully been himself for the last 8 years no doubt fundy had something to do with it .Will was much to young for being a parent when fundy was born and because of that ended up being raised more by puffy and the rest of the pack.

Phil Callahan and Punz soon followed George as they set out to do the morning hunt. Morning hunts whernt that hard but they where a lot more unpredictable than the night time ones. Tho uncommon the chances of finding a rouge where a-lot more likely in the morning than at night. Because of this Phil didn't often let morning groups go out without an alpha just to be careful.

"Ok what way do you think we wanna go dad" Wilbur questioned "towards the east" Phil replied cheerily. The group followed Phil's lead as they started to talk about the immediate plans for the pack and about the possibility's of a hard winter that was approaching. "I'll have to remember to do another foraging day soon before the winter comes we still have another 6 weeks or so tho" "oh punz" Phil said in a quizzical voice "when's your next rut I thought I smelt alpha scent this morning and wanted to remind you of the medicine" "not for another 4 weeks at least" punz replied "wonder what I smelt then" questioned Phil. "I think I found it" replied wilbur. As if on cue a blonde head of fluffy hair peaked out from under the leaves looking startled
