"What in the hell?" I mouthed, looking at my now powered-on PC. I knew last night was a bit of a shock to me, and some things might be a blur, but turning on my PC? I don't remember ever doing that. I rubbed my eyes before looking at it again.

Yup, still on. I shrugged it off to it just being Christina turning it on before I woke up so I didn't let it worry me anymore. I leaned in to press the power button but heard a faint noise coming from my headphones, still connected to the tower. I hesitated at first before reaching down to grab it and lift it towards my ear.

The noise was extremely faint, I have no idea how I even heard it from where I stood. I held it close to my ear before an ear-piercing screech came out of it. "Ugh, what the fuck was that?" I yell out, holding on to my left ear, now ringing uncontrollably. I stood there momentarily, hoping for the pain to quickly subside. Chrissy then busts open the door and looks at me with pure fear in her eyes.

"What happened? Are you alright?" She asked, walking towards me with her arms extended out. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Just had a loud ass noise come from my headphones." Chrissy leans down to grab the headphones and lifts them up to her ears. "Did you have something playing? Because I don't hear anything." She states. I drop my head in anger as that probably means that my headphones are now busted.

"Don't worry about it. Here let me just-"

"Oh my god, you're bleeding!" She yells out. I freeze before slowly pulling my hand away from my ear. The warm liquid slowly streamed down the side of my face before dripping down onto the floor. I lifted my hand up towards me and sure enough, there was my hand, covered in my blood. Chrissy yanked at my arm and dragged me into her bathroom. I still don't understand why we didn't go to mine, but I guess she was the one with more items in her first aid kit.

"Here, hold this." She says, extending a cloth to me. I hold it to my ear, feeling the cloth grow damp with the warm blood seeping out my ear canal. "You can hear everything okay, right?" She asks, leaning down towards me. I feel a pale blush cover itself on my cheeks. I slowly nodded my head. She lets out a reassuring sigh before standing up and walking out to clean up the trail of blood I had left behind.

This was a new side of Christina I had never seen before. Normally she'd be your girly, ditsy type who would be the one in need of helping. This felt, different. I didn't know how to feel or if I should feel anything. I knew I was just looking too deep into it, but what if...

Christina walks back into the bathroom with a towel. The fabric had blood splotches on it, but not enough to completely ruin it. She tossed it into her laundry bin before approaching me again. She leaned down and gently pulled at the cloth I held. "The bleeding should stop soon." She says before standing upright and walking towards the door. She stops in her tracks before peering behind her to lock eyes with me.

"I'm heading to the store. You need anything?" Something was definitely different. I was hoping she wouldn't be that pitiful towards me. I don't want her to think I'm helpless just because of this small incident. "No no, it's alright! I'll be here when you get back." I smiled. Her once deadpan expression had subsided, and the lovable Christina I knew so well had returned to me.

"Okay, let me know if anything happens." She says before leaving the room and, eventually, the house. I sat there for a moment before something struck me. I lifted myself up from the toilet seat before directing myself back towards my room. I stopped in my tracks as my gaze met the still lit-up computer screen. I inched closer and noticed my screen occasionally going black then white again. "What the hell is going on?" I thought to myself. I placed the bloody cloth on my desk before extending my hand out to the headphones. I picked them up and inspected them, but saw no visible issues.

My body jolted. The same faint noise sounded again. Too scared to bring the headphones up to my ear, I raised the volume up on my PC and held the headphones a good distance away. Garbled noise continued to omit from them. I grew fed up and went to put back down my headphones before I heard a strange voice.

"Hello? Anyone there?" The voice asked. I stood in place, contemplating whether or not I should answer. I didn't get much time to think, though, as the voice continued to talk. "I know you hear me, Y/n." My eyes widened and I threw down the headset. Who the fuck was talking to me? Why did they know my name?

"Oh don't be scared, darling." They began. I backed away from my PC until my body collided with my closet door. I felt my body seize up as things grew more and more distorted. My monitor was out of control, flashing random patterns of black and white before a hand stuck out the screen. More continued to exit the monitor before a shadowy man stood before me.

"W-who... P-please..." I stammered. My heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest. I had no logical idea as to what was happening before me. The tall, dark figure chuckled like a generic villain from a superhero movie.

"Oh dear, did I scare you that much? You can't even form a coherent sentence." He bent down to meet me at eye level. I felt his hot breath reach my now sweaty skin. I didn't know what to do. I wanted to push him away, run, do something. My body, though, felt completely stiff. I couldn't move no matter what I did. The only thing I could do was softly sob.

"There there, beautiful. Everything is going to be okay. Now, let's go home." He says before shoving a damp cloth against my nose and mouth. My body finally broke free from its paralyzation, or at least my arms did. I screamed out against the cloth and clawed at the man's arm, feeling the warm, fresh blood slide down along with my nails. He seemed to take no effect to this, and his grip never let up.

Before I knew it, I was starting to feel dizzy. My body grew weak and my arms fell to my side. The last moments of consciousness I had left were overhearing the front door opening and someone stepping inside.

"Y/n, I'm home!"
