Prologue : Cherry Blossoms

The sheer fragrance of Cherry Blossom petals, having vanilla almond-like aroma, lingered the park. I was wandering in that gazing park, hands to my sides, admiring the view of couples having their sweet moments filled with pure bliss.
This has grown to be my hobby, since it helps myself relax.

The fragrance of the cherry blossom trees were very faint and sheer, having a sweet vanilla-like aromas. Ah, how relaxing.

You were walking around the park, as usual, enjoying the wonderful scenery of couples having their sweet moments filled with pure bliss and enthusiastic kids wandering around the area. This has grown to be your hobby, it helps you relax and calm yourself down.

You happen to pass by a guy in his mid-20's, under a cherry blossom tree. Walking towards him, as you feel a familiar presence that you felt like you've seen before. You happen to caught a glimpse of his eye. Looking at each others eyes, silence filled the gap between you and him.

Such an attractive sight. Golden eyes, tanned skin, Silver hair. He was a perfect match for you.

You knew the right thing to do was not fall for him. You wouldn't risk yourself to love again, will you?

Snapping back to reality, you turned away. Leaving the guy behind, confused.

You went back to my apartment, laying down in bed. Still thinking about the guy you had met earlier. He was attractive but you wouldn't want to take a risk, again. Would you?

"Agh! I keep thinking about him! I need to focus on what i need to achieve, I can't tell my family about what happened." I said to myself, covering my eyes with my arm. Falling into a deep sleep.

Time skip ~ ✹

You woke up around 9:00am, doing the usual things you do. Rushing to school, you passed by the park where you would usually go on your free time. Surprisingly, the guy was still there. Sleeping underneath the tree, as if he had been waiting for someone.

Developing pity over him to sleep underneath a cherry blossom tree, you ran towards him. You asked,

"Uhm- hello? Do you mind if i ask, what caused you to sleep underneath a tree? Do you have a home or anything?" It practically sounded as if you were interested in a homeless man. It did sound a bit offensive but hey, you knew you weren't not the sociable type.

His eyes opened swiftly, rubbing it before opening it completely. You made eye contact, he started blushing. What a weird man.

"Huh?" He spoke in confusion.

"I said--"

"I heard what ya said! I just didn't get it. I'm not the idiotic type ya know!" You chuckled.

He was lively, even if he just woke up. Siting down beside him, you explained what you meant to him, offering him a stay at my apartment. And yes, even if he was a complete stranger, you felt like he could be trusted. Then you went on with your usual school day.

Sooner and later, the both of you became close friends. You helped him look for a job and he helped me with doing my school works. Things went smooth for the both of you. Although he doesn't want to share how he ended up sleeping under a tree, you just let it slide since the both of you were complete strangers that had just met.

And that's how you met the Avatar of Greed. He may be idiotic and all but we managed to cooperate with each other somehow.

I've had a liking over him since we first met. But now, these feelings for him aren't liking anymore. It's love.
