The nerd at the back of the class

Chapter 4

It's not only my eyes which widen . " melody !" Michael greets me and hugs me . " micheal , what a suprise to see you here !" I say as i hug him back . " matt !" I say cheerfully and hug him . The hug lasts a bit longer . When we pull out mason looks at us with a confused look . " you guys know eachother ?" Mason asks and i nod . " well yeah , matt is my friend . we had to do a project together as you remember . and i went to his house and that is where i met michael ." I say and masons mouth turns into and 'O' shape and nods .

We all walk inside . " so ehm guys , this is michael . Masons friend . And this is matthew , his brother which i think you guys know him since we go to the same school ." I announce and everybody say hi to eachother . They choose a movie to watch and everybody is already seated exept me , mia , mason , matt and michael . Michael takes a seats beside austin . There are 2 , two people, couchs left . Mason sits on one and i sit on the other one . " matt come sit here ." I say to him kindly and he walks and sits next to me . I flash a smile at him and he returns it . The only place left for mia is beside mason , she shoots me a death glare while she sits beside him . I flash her a toothy smile and return my attention to the guys .

" so what are we watching ?" I ask " a scary movie " austin replies and shoots me a smile . He knows how much i hate scary movies since childhood . " ugh , why can't we watch a decent movie for once ?" I whine and stand up to go and get some blankets for everyone . Matt looks up at me " where are you going ?" Matt asks " to get some blankets for everyone ." I reply and he nods " want somebody to give you a hand ?" He asks and i gladly accept . He stands up too and walks behind me . " where are you two going ?" Jared asks " to get some blankets for everyone ." I reply and we walk away .

I search through the closet which we keep our spare blankets , pillows and stuff . I give him 3 and carry the rest myself . We walk back again and the movie has already started , which i don't mind at all because i was never really a fan of scary movies anyways . I hand everyone a blanket and go sit back on the couch . Matt comes and sits beside me and hands me a blanket and i take it . I wrap the blanket around myself and start watching the movie . 10 minutes later , a scary scene comes and it scares the shit out of me and i nearly scream . I tense up and cover my eyes with the blanket . Everyone laughs at me and matt removes the blanket from my eyes .

" you scared ?" He asks and i nod . " comehere ." He says and i'm amused for a second but gladly accept it and cuddle up to him . Well he is getting more comfortable around me which is good . I look over at mason to see if he is going to complain but he is too busy watching the movie and mia is cuddled up to him and by the look on her face i can say she is nearly going to shit her pants . Well at least i'm not the only one . Another scary scene comes and matt looks down at me and points at the tv screen . " look , all that are special effects . Look how fake some stuff are . There is nothing to be scared of ." He says and tries to make me feel a bit better and less scared . Well he helped a bit . I decide to keep myself busy eating instead of watching the movie so i grab some chips and a cola from our table full of food . " want some ?" I offer matt some chips and we eat chips together through the movie .

Gladly it's near the end of the movie and due to the amount of food and drinks i have eating i need to use the bathroom . I get up and leave and go to our bathroom . After i do my buissness i walk back to the guys and safely the movie is over and the guys are talking to eachother . I look at them a smile appears on my face . I can say that matt is getting along just fine . I go and sit next to matt and he smiles at me and i return it . " i see you're getting along fine ." I say to him with a smile . " you really think so ?" He asks and i nod my head . I look over at mason and his arms is around mia and every now and then he glances down at her . " so what were you guys talking about ?" I ask and join their conversation .

Suddenly i hear my phone ring and i go and get it . It's dad . " dad , hello ?" I say through the phone . " melody , me and your mom aren't coming home tonight . I just wanted to tell you that ." He says through the phone . " ok dad , good night and have fun ." I say " you too , love you sweety . Bye ." He says " bye daddy." I say and hang up . I walk back to guys " who was it ?" Mason asks " it was dad . Him and mom aren't coming home tonight ." I say and his face lightens up . " anybody up for a sleepover tonight ?" He asks cheerfully and everyone agrees .
