Amy was tired of having to be the person who did everything around the house. Sometimes she even wished she had a younger sibling so she could tell her to do things for her. But, sadly she was an only child, and her mom had cancer, so she had to do everything around the house. She never complained about it to her mom, though. She knew her mom was going through a lot, having her dad rarely ever home, and cancer. So even though she hated it, doing everything around the house was what she had to do to keep her mom relaxed, as she hated seeing her mom un-relaxed.

"Here you go mom, I made some soup for you" Amy handed her mom a bowl of warm soup

"Thank you, sweety." Amy's mom, Jessy, was watching TV on the couch while knitting what looked to be a sweater for Amy's younger cousins.

Amy went back to her room where she was greeted by a collection of items she found on the street. Amy was a big collector, and she loved collecting random items she finds off the street, for some reason. Her best find was a doll that looked like a voodoo doll. She kept it in her room in a special place and named the doll "Oliver". She also loved collecting things from a restaurant named JR's, as it was her favorite place to eat. Circus Babys Pizza World was an interesting place, it was a pizzeria but for birthdays, with animatronics as performers. Her favorite animatronic there, however, was not a performer, it was an animatronic that handed out the gift's from the prize corner, Charlie. Amy always wondered how they powered the thing to be so high-tech, always getting the prize a kid ordered when asked. Whenever Amy got the time to go to JR's, she would always spend time watching Charlie, instead of the main show. Charlie was slim and black, with three white buttons going down their chest like a snowman. They had white stripes going from their shoulders to their hands-on both arms. The hands were the only thing that freaked Amy out, as there were no palms, just three slim fingers starting from the end of its arm. The face was what made Amy so interested in the animatronic. The face of Charlie was a white mask, with a smiling mouth and eyes in the shape of a half-circle cut-out. On the black fabric inside the eye holes, were another set of white buttons which seemed to take the place of eyes. Bright pink circles were placed on the sides of the mouth of the animatronic, taking the place of cheeks. And to top it off, a pink and blue swirled party had laid on top of the head.

"Amy, dear, could you come here?" Amy's mom called out

"Coming, mom." Amy got out of her room and made her way down the stairs towards the living room, where her mom spent most of her time.

Amy's mom held out a 20 dollar bill and gestured for Amy to grab it. "You've been working an awful lot hard around the house, so take this as a way of me saying thank you"

"Mom, you can keep it. it's nothing." But it was something.

"Amy, listen to your mother" Amy's mom let out a chuckle

Amy loved hearing her mom chuckle, so she grabbed the 20 then kissed her mom on the forehead

"Now go to that JR's place you enjoy. I'll be here knitting"
