Camney: New Face

Cameron drew in a notebook like he usually did. No one talked to him much. He didn't really have friends, and no one even seemed to want to be friends with him.

He knew the face of every kid in school, but this face, this one was different.

He looked as the girl with blonde, super curly hair, talked to that magician boy. She pulled a card from a pile. He was curious to see what was happening, although he figured that he knew what was going on. He looked at the card, and saw what it was.

Then the girl put it back in the pile. "Courtney from California, is this your card?" The boy asked as he raised up a card.

He realized that he was correct, this girl named Courtney wasn't from the school, she was new. And from California? That was far away.

But Cameron had gotten distracted and didn't see what the card was. When he looked at it, he knew that the kid had messed it up. Things were about to get interesting.

But then Courtney said that was her card. Cameron had a small sigh of relief. If she had told the truth, that poor kid would get humiliated in front of almost the entire school.

After the crowd cheered and started walking away, Courtney started walked away. She paused when she saw Cameron looking at her.

Cameron instantly had a crush on her. She stood there for a few seconds and then walked away, not saying anything. So much for a good first impression. He sighed and continued drawing.
