Class was slow but he survived. The bell rings signaling for everyone to depart. As George crutched to get to his next class, he heard distant chants.

"What's all of that noise" he wondered. He decided to check out what it was. To no one's surprise, it was Dream fighting someone. George almost walked away when he recognized the person fighting Dream.

"Sully" George questioned out loud. Sully was an ex member of the football team. George and he were pretty close. Sully turned around at the sound of an old friend calling his name. Once he was distracted, Dream took a hit. This continued for a bit. Then George decided it had gone on long enough. He sighed and dropped his crutches. He limped over to the two boys and yelled.

"Both of you! Knock it off!" Dream and Sully both look at George, Sully shocked, Dream irritated. He looked at them back and forth. Geroge looked like he was upset. Really upset. Sully took notice and looked away, embarrassed. Dream stared at George, ready to argue. George gave him a look, telling him to watch it. Dream was surprised but didn't show it.

"Both of you need to stop fighting, it's pointless" he yelled at them. People around were recording but he didn't care. He was so sick of a fight breaking out every day. At first it was enjoyable, then it was funny, then it got old. Now it is just pointless. George shook his head and turned, limping to his crutches. Sully grabbed his arm.

"George wait-" he started but was cut off. George pulled his arm away and continued to limp away. Sully, now irritated but still worried, grabbed his arm again. George attempted to pull away again but ended up falling to his knees. George yelled out in pain and his hand shot to his knee. Sully looked down at him, surprised then worried. Sully tried to help but George refused. Everyone was staring, whispering, some even laughing, and George had enough. He scooted over to his crutches and tried to pull himself up. Dream was glaring at Sully. Not only did Sully instigate a fight with Dream but hurt someone who Dream cared about. When George was able to get up, he took one last look at everyone, then crutched away. At this rate, George didn't know if he was gonna be able to play the next football game. To him, the universes was telling him to step down. But the universe would have to try something else because nothing was gonna stop George.

*****Timeskip*****

It was the day of the football game and George had recovered. Or so he says. The football team was all in the locker room, gassed up about the game. JB or as the football team calls him, Rottweiler was hyping everyone up.

"We can do this guys, no skill needed" he yelled to them with a smile. Everyone cheered. George was strapping on his gloves and sighed. He was confident but concerned. They called for the teams to come out and they were off. They got situated on the bleachers and the field. Right now, George remains on the bleachers. They take George off when they think they're at a loss. He was basically the "big guns." The first play of the game started with George's football team with the ball. George was keeping track of everyone. He jumped up in joy at the sight of the field.

"First down baby" he yelled, a smile clear across his face. A few hours go by and they're in fourth quarter. George's team is behind by 6 points. Everything was going great until the opposite team was getting aggressive. On the third play they got a penalty for unnecessary roughness. A few minutes later another penalty for the same reason. George watched in disgust the entire time. He got exceptionally angry when he saw one of his teammates, Andrew, or Rocket, limp off the field. Rocket was another one of the wide receivers on the field. He limped to George and held his ankle. George could tell he sprang his ankle. George had enough. He argued with his coach and finally he was put on the field. George told Rottweiler to throw him the ball and he will run it as far as he could down the field. Rottweiler thought, then he agreed. They all got in positions and waited. When Rottweiler yelled, George bolted down the field, attempting to dodge any player that came his way. He saw the ball coming his way and jumped, catching it in midair. He turned and bolted down the field. The moment he got tackled was at the 30-yard line. The team cheered, but George wasn't done. When the next play began, he got the ball and ran. One of the opposite team members came and grabbed his helmet and pushed him down. Flag. George could feel his knee becoming uncomfortable, but he continued. The play began and they handed it off to the running back, Andy, or peanut. George was making sure they got the touch down. He ran past the opposite teammates and ran beside peanut. The entire time, George kept the ball safe, and they scored a touchdown. Everyone cheered and hugged peanut. George was looking for Jose, or slingshot, who was their kicker. They were about to win the game; they just needed that field goal. Slingshot loosened up and finally kicked the ball. Georges heart skipped a beat then, they got the field goal. There was 5 seconds on the clock. They had won. They all cheered, and George was so happy. He looked over at the cheerleaders to see Beth, cheering him on and smiling. George looked at the stands and saw a familiar mask in the stands. Dream was there. Watching Georges game? George blushed and cocked his head to the side. To his delight and surprise, Dream was clapping. And at that moment, it looked genuine. George couldn't stop smiling. He had finally made Dream happy. George was in the locker room, thinking about Dream. He was clapping! He didn't point or do anything to embarrass George! Once he got his extra clothes on, he grabbed his gym bag and went outside. His mom was unable to pick him up, so he had to walk home. He noticed a strange car pass by multiple times but didn't pay much attention to it. The car came up next to George, driving at his pace, and rolled down his window.

"Hey there, you want a ride" the man asked eyeing George. George kept his head down and didn't say anything. The man stayed persistent.

"I could keep you company, just hop in" he pushed on. George picked up his pace a bit. This has never happened to him before. The man still followed.

"C'mon, it'll be fun, and you won't be alone in the dark" the man said with a weird smile. George kept walking, scared for his life.

"Is there a problem" asked a familiar voice. George turned to see Dream at the window of the man's car. What is he doing, thought George?

"If there is let me know and I'll be glad to fix it" said Dream. The man scoffed.

"You don't scare me kid" he growled. Dream grabbed the man's hair and hit his head against what was part of the window. The man yelled in pain and agreed to go away. After he drove away Dream looked at George.

"Why are you walking alone at this hour" he asked looking at George. George sighed and turned around.

"My mom couldn't pick me up, I have to walk home, and I don't really have a choice" he said as Dream followed.

"Then let me walk with you at least," Dream said. "Whether I like you or not, I shouldn't let you get kidnapped." George nodded and blushed a bit. Dream talked to George all the way until he got home.

"Thanks for walking me Dream" he said turning to Dream. Dream nodded and sighed.

"Don't mention it George." George nodded and walked inside. Once he was inside, he freaked out. No nerd? No loser? George! George walked up to his room happily and sat on his bed. He text Beth and told her all about it. Beth was surprised and excited for him. George couldn't wait till he got to school tomorrow. Maybe it would be a new day and Dream wouldn't be so rude to him anymore. He sure hopes so.
