Icy blue eyes belonging to the wind blinked slowly at me. As if they were in some sort of slowed down motion. The embrace of shadows and multiple mix of rainbows and shadows came dancing across my cheeks, as the smooth jazz playing freely through the speakers brought me back to life. From the beautiful stranger, staring at me from right in front, the white cable bar sliding across his body just before the ride was set to begin. The line was long, but I'd been forced to come tonight, and to ride this ride, so I didn't have any choice to complain. A cool yet harmonizing sound came over me, flowing through my hair, as a gust of wind followed. The sweet smell of cotton candy pinned my nose, as my eyes turned to look over at my friend. He'd been so quiet, I'd forgotten he was even there, standing with me. His black outfit, mixed with the glossy silver chain, followed by a small cross that attached to it, dangled back and forth when he moved. Since he wasn't one to remain still, the cross moved around a lot, just like he did.
He was much shorter than I was, but even with his height, I could still make out his eyes, which were a nice, shade of emerald green, mixed with just a hint of a lime. His long black eyelashes matched the color of his recently dyed hair. I honestly preferred his original hair color, which had been a nice creamy orange, but I guess its true what they say, high school can really change a person. With his new goth lifestyle, and piercings, its hard to even see him as the same person. As the same old boy, I'd known for so many years of my life. The shy boy who was so afraid to talk to others, he'd run away in terror. Sometimes when he'd run, I'd follow him, just to tell him it was okay. How he hated it when I followed him? But I kept doing it, eventually he warmed up to me, and finally was able so speck to me, without needing to fun away. I'd made him comfortable, I told him I was to be trusted, and he believed me. A smile came to my face as I thought of all the memories I'd had of Fox Grayson. He was truly my superhero. My best friend, a childhood treasure no one would ever risk to have disappear.
After a few seconds, I found his eyes again. They looked annoyed, like somehow, he knew I was commenting about him inside my mind, even though I knew he wasn't reading me. That I wasn't the reason for his sudden changed from excited to outright annoyed. I stared at him, titling my head, till he finally said something.
''You sure have a lot of patience for waiting as long as we have?'' He commented on as he rolled his soft lime eyes at me. I rolled my eyes back at him, as with one of my fingers I lightly poked the cross on the chain around his neck, which made him quickly reach for it, holding it tightly in his hand, hoping to make it stop rocking, as he frowned, while I kept cool and continued to smile. I knew he loved me, so my annoyance never became a problem for him. He was one of the few who I felt comfortable even, pissing off.
''You wanted to come here, tonight, and I agreed... remember? Besides, I like waiting here with you...'' I smiled. ''I get to watch you get upset.... its my favorite pass time.'' I joked. He frowned as I said this, his strong eyes melting into me, as he stormed his eyes away from me. Returning to the direction he'd been previously looking at, before everything around me went dark. I was confused for a second, as the temperature slowly rose. From the gust of wind, to the dark shadows, now to blue that coated every open, and metal surface, I could see around me.
In seconds every single building, and ride, was coated with ice. The rainbow lights lit up from the colorful use of the Christmas lights they used for decoration, had dimmed to black, gray, and white, as the blue snow reflected across every shine piece. The blue light shined across my face, filling my eyes, as I tried to keep my eyes on something a bit darker, seeing as the light instantly hurt and bothered my eyes. I was blinded, but only for a moment, as sudden twinkles of fresh born snow, came down all around me. Filling my eyes with the beautiful shapes of the snowflakes, as I gasped. Suddenly feeling a heavy object hit me from behind. Pushing me over in seconds, as my head bobbled. I felt like a bobble head for a moment, as I missed myself, falling to the ground, as dirt filled my eyes. The next second I regained my sight.
