Letter To My Future

Chapter 1

Eloise Scamander, a girl with honey brown eyes that reflected the sun and as beautiful as the hue whenever it goes down to find comfort in earth's warmth and the cold night was a joyful and adventurous lady.

For the students at Hogwarts, she was a peculiar girl. When they first saw her, they expected her to be more reserved as her posture screams elegance. As for Eloise, she was used to people staring at her as she came from a powerful and well-respected family.

At first, Eloise was quiet since she doesn't know anyone there except for her cousin. But when she befriended the Weasley twins and Cedric Diggory, she slowly came out of her shell and showed her true personality.

She was respected by the students not only because of her family name but also because of the way she bring herself. She's respected except for students who are cocky enough to think that they're higher than other students just because of their family backgrounds.

The students were surprised at first since her personality was so different from what they saw her as, but they knew, whoever was friends with the infamous Weasley Twins who was known to cause havoc where ever they go, would also be a fun and rowdy person.

So just imagine the students surprised faces when they saw her writing countless times on her notebook that they noticed she always carries around.

They thought she would never go near a book and hold a quill unless it's for educational purposes. They clearly learned not to judge people based on their looks from this experience.

As the time rolled for the last class of the day, laughter could be heard near the black lake, gaining the attention of some students who were on their way to their next class. Eloise, who was laying on the grass laughing delightfully was turning red because of how stupid her conversation was with the twins.

"Well, I would definitely love to see Snape and Minnie switch bodies," Eloise said still laughing while clutching her stomach.

"What were you guys even talking about that you managed to go to this topic?" Ron who was near them and heard what Eloise asked curiously.

"Well Ronniekins, our little brother, that is none of your business so go," Fred said jokingly while doing the "shoo" hand motion.

As they continued to joke around, the golden trio being an addition, they sadly had to end it since it was time to go to their classes. Since the twins and Eloise are in the same year they walked together to Snapes Class.

Eloise was suddenly woken up by Snape's obnoxiously loud voice, there she knew that she was in big trouble. As she rose her head, she was met with Snape's furious face glaring down at her. As she saw Snape's face she suddenly got deja vu, this was so similar to the nightmare she had last night.

"Ms. Scamander, I believe that you know how to perfectly make Felix Felicis, seeing that you had the audacity to doze off during my lecture," sneered Snape.

"I apologize for my behavior professor, but you see, I actually do know how to make Felix Felicis. Want me to do a demonstration now?" Eloise answered.

At this point, Snape was furious, he was about to deduct points from Hufflepuff and teach this girl some lessons when he heard noises from outside, indicating that classes were over. Giving Eloise one last glare, he dismissed everyone.

As the students started leaving the potions classroom, Eloise quickly packed her belongings and rushed outside. George and Fred who saw her leaving hurriedly quickly ran to catch up with her, and as they reached her, they started their teasing saying how proud they are for what Eloise did earlier. Eloise of course was also kind of proud, but she feared that Snape would start to go after her house now for what she did to him.

But before she could continue her thoughts of what if and worry about what Snape would do. She stopped walking as she heard her name being called, before she could turn around though, she felt herself falling forward and something heavy falling on top of her.

"Bloody hell!" Eloise shouted in surprise and pain when she fell face first, feeling the hard ground beneath her. She can hear grunts of pain on top of her but couldn't see who as she was facing the ground.

"Ron! Harry! Get up now, your putting your weight on Eloise!" Eloise heard Hermione's voice. Now knowing the person, or rather persons on top of her, Eloise helped herself up with the support of her hands, and also support from Hermione who helped Ron and Harry get back on their feet.

As Eloise was back on her feet, she saw George and Fred laughing, which made her kind of mad seeing that they didn't even help her. But alas, a light chuckle left her mouth, knowing that if this also happened to a friend of hers, she would also be laughing. Deciding to ignore the twins, for now, she turned to the golden trio curious about what they needed since they were shouting her name like some maniacs.

"Ah, I'm sorry for that Eli but Ron and I actually have something to tell you," Harry said shyly while scratching the nape of his neck.

"Oh don't apologize, Harry, it's fine but what is it, may I ask?" Eloise asked curiously.

"It's actually about Sirius," Harry whispered softly so that only Eloise could hear.

"And also an invitation from mom, she asked us to invite you to celebrate Christmas with us," Ron added.

"Oh sure Ron, I will celebrate it with you guys, especially since it had been a while since I tasted Molly's cooking," answered Eloise.

As Eloise finished her sentence, she grabbed Harry's wrist to bring him to a more secluded area so that they could talk more properly without someone hearing them. As they arrived at their destination, Eloise immediately asked Harry to continue whatever he was gonna say earlier.

"Sirius, he actually wanted to meet up with us this upcoming Hogsmeade trip, said he wanted to ask us something important," Harry said.

"Oh sure, I'll be there. Thank you for telling me Harry," smiled Eloise, excited to see Sirius again.

"You're welcome Eli, ehm it was nice talking to you but I actually have to go now, I still need to do my homework," Harry said, a little bummed out that he couldn't talk more with Eloise.

"It's fine Harry, I still actually need to help Hagrid with the animals for tomorrow's class," Eloise said while smiling, wanting to talk more to the boy but knowing there's still next time.

As they exchange goodbyes and went in different directions, Harry, who was on his way to Gryffindors common room thought how cool Eloise is as she can manage her time even with her full schedule and still have the time for herself and to those who are important to her.

As for Eloise, this day would also become a treasured memory that was filled with various types of emotions. She knew that she would look back to this day, along with the people she cherish and they would smile. She knew that this day would be another chapter in her diary.
