Kit's Sonic One-Shots

In a Crack of Lightning (IDW Spoilers)

Sonic the Hedgehog collapsed to the ground, flashes of electricity consuming his being. His skeleton became visible to the outside world for brief seconds, alternating with his convulsions. After a few moments, he slumped down, eyes still open, mind still racing, but the ability to fight drained from him. He weakly looked up at the shit-eating grin on the face of his attacker.

Surge the Tenrec chuckled, electricity still crackling from her hands and quills. She took one step forward and then another, before planting her foot on the chest of the blue hedgehog.

"You are defeated, Sonic!," the green imposter boasted. "Now prepare to meet your end!"

Sonic looked up, despite his vision diluting. He lay there in the face of a brutal death by electrocution, with no will to fight left in his body. But deep down, he had known something since his first encounter with his latest rival. Something he knew about any of his rivals. A weakness they all shared.

"It's not my end..."

Sonic blurted out the words and put on a shit-eating grin of his own, causing Surge to perk up in surprise a little.

"It's OUR BEGINNING!"

Faster than Surge could register, Sonic utilized his incredible speed to leap to his feet, place himself directly in front of her, lean forward, and plant a kiss square on her lips. The tenrec's eyes widened in shock, unsure how to register the sudden shift in events, before relenting and closing shut, Surge's body relaxing as she gave in to the smooch. The two wrapped their arms around each other as the mere locking of lips gave way to a full make-out session, the two of them collapsing to the ground together from the power of sudden love.

As their respective siblings suddenly hooked up, Miles "Tails" Prower and Kit the Fennec watched from the sidelines, having initially been fighting but now being too distracted to continue. Kit's jaw had dropped to the floor, but Tails simply had a smirk on his face. The blue clone turned to his yellow DNA source, confused.

"Well..." Kit struggled to get his words out. "That's... happening..."

"Yup," Tails simply responded.

"Is..." Kit observed, "is he always like this?"

Tails retained his gentle smile and narrowed eyes.

"You wouldn't know the half of it."

Surge is literally the embodiment of the reasons we all ship Sonic with his rivals.

She checks every box.

You can't deny people will ship them.

She will be IDW!Sonic's canon love interest and there's nothing you can do about it.
