Chapter two

SAM: "Crystal so you know where we are going right?. I actually didn't know. But I just kept on swimming, I wanted to get far away from my dad as possible. I ignored Sam but soon said, " Sam? Do you think what my father said was true? Do you think that he cares more about money and gold than me?" SAM: " I am sorry but I do not know any of this nonsense". I started to cry but soon wiped my tears.

CRYSTAL: " I wonder where we will go now...(sigh)"

SAM: " I do not know that either"

Looking at my arm, I saw the mark I was given by my mom. She and I had the same mark, it was the zodiac Aquarius sign (♒️). My mom told me that no matter how far apart we are, she would always remember and love me. My mom died 8 years ago when I was 5. I stared at the Aquarius mark for a minute and thought of the moments we had together before she passed away...

8 years earlier----------

"Mommy, Daddy! , can we go to the Underworld Sea Mall? Please-ee? Pretty please?" I pleaded. My dad chuckled while my mom smiled and laughed. "Yes honey, we can go. But after you clean up your toys ok?" My mom said. "Ok!" I said.
After cleaning up, I quickly swam to my seashell bank and dumped out the money I had. "$35.75, alright!" I yelled. I grabbed my petite sky blue purse with sparkles and a turquoise heart, and placed my money inside.

"Wow!!..." I exclaim in awe. Mom and I split up with dad and looked around. "Wow so pretty!!" I swam to a shop full of jewelry and went to the area where there were arm jewelry. I looked in awe at a pearl arm bracelet looking jewelry. It was shaped like a bow when you put it on. I knew I wanted to buy it, so I did. I swam to the cash register and placed the piece of jewelry on the counter. "Did you fine everything ok?" The pretty cashier asked. "Yes! This is so pretty! I'll have this." I answered. The lady chuckled. "Ok, that'll be $5.75 please." I dig through my purse and found the exact amount I needed to buy the arm bracelet. "Thank you so much for shopping here!" The lady said as she smiled.( if you are wondering what Crystal bought, look at the picture of page one for chapter 2, on her arm.)

I smiled at the neat jewelry as we headed out of the store. "Hello, would you like to view our marks that will never disappear?" A man said to my mom and I. "Sure! We'd love to." Mom said. We looked at the marks and I realized that these were the 12 zodiac signs. (♈️♉️♊️♋️♌️♍️♎️♏️♐️♑️♒️♓️).

My mom smiled and kept her eye on the Aquarius sign. "Mom, that's the Aquarius zodiac sign, I love the Aqua color it has." I said as I pointed. "We'll take two of that one, one for my daughter and I." "Ah yes, the lovely Aquarius sign. It is a sign of happiness and joy. (( to whoever is reading this, I do not actually know if this is true, I made this up 😉)).
My mom bought the mark and the really good thing was that we could chose the color we wanted. I chose a turquoise like color and mom chose a pale purple.

After mom and I had looked around a bit more after we got our marks, we caught up with dad. "Alright! We ready to go home? The mall is almost closing, anything else u want to see?" Dad said. "Hmmm, I don't know, I think that's it. Can we go home now?" I answered. Mom and dad smiled at each other and nodded. "Let's go!!!" We all said laughing. Mermaids were staring at us, probably thinking that we are weird.

"Daddy, daddy!! Look what I bought!! I bought a very pretty bracelet. It's for your arm, I'm calling it an armlet." I said to daddy. Dad smiled." And look! Me and mom..." Dad wasn't looking at me. He was looking forward and looked horrified. I soon looked forward too. A huge shark was swimming towards us and was aiming for mom.
