Catching the Unsub

Morgan's POV

After killing 5 people we figured out who the unsub was, James Brown a 16 year old male who enjoys hunting, not for animals but for humans. He's homeschooled and has abandonment issues,his parents secluded him after some bullying issues so he turned to hunting animals to find his friends,then later to humans. He fits the profile perfectly.

The team ended up chasing him down in a harbor and Rossi shooting another person who was trying to catch him too in the leg, so exciting. When the team was done with him, I went to the cabin to check on Garcia while everyone was packing up and I found a note on the bed,it read "out for a walk-Garcia."

So I went out and found her in a park, "Sucks doesn't it" I said,"What?" she asked. "Just knowing we couldn't have done any of this without you" "Yeah pretty much" "I'm proud of you Penelope,despite everything that happened you pulled through" "The sight of blood used to make me run away and two nights ago I ran towards it" I put my hand on her shoulder turning her around to face me.

"That means you're changing into someone more stronger than you realized,you cared enough to risk your own life to save someone" "Yeah but..what's the difference in being strong and being jaded,I'm scared Derek. I don't wanna loose who I am just so I can do this job" she said with a choked up voice. "We are in the most beautiful place on earth, I know you see that" "...yeah" she nodded her head and agreed. "You see the beauty in everyone and everything no matter where you go,that part of you is never gonna change and I won't let it" I said softly

"I don't need you to protect me" she protested, "I think I'm gonna stay on the job for a little while longer" I announced, "Yeah..how much longer?" "Every day for the rest of my life." Her face got closer to mine, she playfully punched me in the stomach," I uh..kind of love you Derek Morgan" she said,"I kind of love you too Penelope Garcia" that's when I pulled her into a hug and kissed her on the lips.
