(Short chapters in the beginning. Might get longer as the story progresses.)
Third Person P.O.V
In the beginning, they were all happy. Smiles, laughter, joy, a sense of goodness radiated from everybody in that family. Everyone who would get close to them, felt themselves becoming happier and much lighter. As if a weight that had been making them feel heavy, had finally been lifted off their shoulders.A couple, a pair, two people. That's how they started out. A tall, blond haired, blue eyed man and a short, red haired, violet eyed woman. They were in love and decided to cement their love by marriage. Marry they did indeed. Throughout the beginning of their marriage they were happy and so in love, nothing could break them apart.
Two years into their marriage, the red head was having symptoms that pointed in the direction of a severe cold and/or flu, or so she thought. She was gaining weight on some days, while on others she was losing that weight. She was vomiting in the morning, couldn't keep much down and if she were lucky enough to keep it down, after a while she would vomit it up again. She was tired. She would go to sleep the night before at her usual time, only to wake up in the morning more tired then she had the night before. She would sweat and feel icky, but after a shower she would glow, as if special lights were being shined down on her.
After it happened again for 7th time in a week, the blond haired man had finally had enough. Stern and taciturn he booked an appointment at the doctor's and then told her about it. Needless to say, the woman was not happy, but in order to make him feel better, she complied. He looked at her warmly, but with concern laced deep within. The woman once again felt that she had made the right decision by marrying him. He was a worrywart, but that was all because he cared and cared deeply.
The day of their appointment arrived. He woke up and got himself ready. He took a shower, brushed his teeth, washed his hair and body, shut off the water, got out, dried himself and got dressed. Seeing as it was still a little early, he let her sleep some more. Smiling to himself, he went to the kitchen and prepared breakfast.
Once breakfast was done, he once again looked at the time. Seeing that the clock read 7:30, he decided to wake her up. Heading to their shared bedroom, he shook her awake. "Honey, it's time to wake up. You have a doctor's appointment in an hour and a half." He told the woman gently. She stirred and opened her beautiful violet eyes. Stretching and getting herself off the bed, she headed for the bathroom.
The man once again went back into the kitchen and plated up their breakfasts. For him, his breakfast consisted of toast with jam, sunny side up eggs, sausage and coffee with a small scoop of sugar and two creamers. For her, her breakfast consisted of plain porridge, an apple and a medium sized glass of warm water. He would rather not have her barfing her guts out at the doctor's, so a light breakfast for her it was.
He'd just finished setting the plates down on the table, when she appeared looking very beautiful. He went towards her and gave her a good morning kiss, while complimenting her. "You look lovely, dear." He said with love in his voice and actions.
The woman returned the kiss. Happily the she replied. "Thank you. You look quite dapper yourself."
"Once we're done eating, we'll finish getting ready and leave." The man spoke towards the woman. The woman only nodded her head to signify she had heard and understood.
After they finished eating, they put the plates in the dishwasher and finished getting ready.
Fifteen minutes later, they were off.

Half an hour after they arrived, they signed in and were ushered into the waiting room.At the hospital, her name was called. She explained what her symptoms were and for how long she had been having them. The doctor wrote everything that she'd heard down on a clipboard. Looking at them, she motioned for the the woman, Kushina to get on the hospital bed.
Once comfortable, the doctor spoke. "Alright, I have an idea of what your diagnosis might be, but I'll have to do an ultrasound to be completely sure. I have put a gel on your belly, which will feel quite cool and with this wand" she said, waving the shaver shaped object around, "I'll spread it to take a look inside. Are you ready?" Receiving nods of confirmation, she began the process.
Half an hour later, the doctor wiped the gel of her belly and cleaned the wand. She left and went to do some related paperwork. While waiting, the couple decided to talk and come up with theories on what could possibly be wrong, or happening to her.
Sometime later, the doctor returned with the paperwork and a picture which she had printed, before she left the room. "Congratulations," she spoke with evident happiness "you're 10 weeks along."
The couple were shocked, surprised and really happy. The blond man spoke in stutters, while having red rimmed eyes. "Y-y-you're saying t-t-that m-m-my w-w-wife's p-preg-n-nant?!" He asked, while he waved his arms around wildly.
"Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. Would you like the picture?" The doctor once again confirmed, then asked.
"Yes, we would, thank you." The man replied politely. "Did you hear that, Minato? We're going to be parents. You're going to be a daddy, while I'm going to be a mommy!" The red head said, extra excitedly.
"I'm going to be daddy." Minato kept murmuring, disbelief was evident on his face. It still hadn't properly settled in that he would soon be a father.
"Congratulations." The doctor once again said, smiling happily. Their joy was so infectious that the doctor couldn't help, but feel joyous as well.
That day had been one of the happiest days of their lives, because soon they would become parents.
