"Hoseok, I'm scared." Namjoon said as he walked side to side with his best friend, holding tightly onto his pastel yellow, vinnie pooh rucksack against his chest. His white haired friend chuckled and wrapped his arm around Namjoon's shoulder, pulling him closer.
"Joon, it's okay, there is nothing to be scared of." Hoseok said then looked up at the sky. "Except the upcoming storm that might happen. But seriously," He playfully hit Namjoon onto his back. "I know college seems like a really big deal but I promise it's not that bad."
"What if they don't like me?"
Namjoon's question managed to break Hoseok's heart a little. It was well known what kind of time Namjoon had at their high school, with everyone picking up on him for being different. They would insult him every day because of his blonde hair, calling him really bad names and throwing papers at him while he would walk down the hall.
It was not the same for Hoseok because he was in the school's first basketball team so they didn't dare pick on him. He did his best to protect Namjoon most of the time but he couldn't always be there. And that's what he hated.
He was hoping for this time to be better. They were all grown up now and clever enough not to beat anyone because of stupid things like dyeing their hair.
"Joon, just don't give a damn, okay? The more you pay attention, the more they will pick on you. I know it sounds easy but trust me. I'll be there to protect you from everything after all-"
A ball flew straight in Namjoon's direction and hit him across his face, making him fall down on his butt against the cold concrete. He groaned loudly and aimed for his nose, gasping when he saw a bit of blood against his fingers.
"Screw what I said, I guess." Hoseok spoke and chuckled, scratching the back of his head.
They could hear children laughing at their direction. Namjoon looked up to see a small child running into his direction to get his ball back. The boy bowed to him and apologized instead of his friend who was pointing and laughing at Namjoon. It made Namjoon feel less bad, how polite the boy was so he gave the ball back to him. Stood up and opened his rucksack to pull out a paper tissue and wipe the blood from his upper lip.
"Are you okay?" Hoseok asked, concern radiating through his voice.
Namjoon nodded. "Couldn't my morning start any better?"
Hoseok chuckled. "I guess, no. Come on, we don't wanna be late for your first class."

Namjoon stared at the white board in the hall with at least ten a4 papers on it, his eyebrows furrowing and lips turning into a small pout. He turned around and looked up at Hoseok, who was a bit taller than him, and let himself fall onto his chest. The other smiled and wrapped his arms around him.
"I'm sorry, Joon. I was hoping we would get all of the classes together but looks like we only have one each day. Something is better than nothing, I guess. Am I right?" Hoseok asked, trying to cheer Namjoon up. He could feel how nervous and frightened he was.
"Hoseokie, how am I supposed to live without you?" Namjoon asked, giving him his puppy eyes.
Hoseok hummed then tapped onto his chin. "I will bring you to that cute ice cream shop we saw today after we are finished. How does that sound?"
Namjoon nodded almost immediately. "Sounds amazing! Mango and chocolate? I'm so ready to blast this college!"
"I'm happy to see you smile." Hoseok said and smiled. "We should probably get going to our class."
