Max had been in their house alone for a few hours, since Lilah had left with the excuse she had to pick something up from the store.

He heard the door open from his spot on the couch, the tv running in the background while he was on his phone and soon he heard his girlfriends voice. "Max, I'm home!"

She went up the stairs again, coming down 20 minutes after, confusing Max.

"What are you doing, Lilah?" He asked her, but before she walked inside the room, she stopped outside.

"Can you close your eyes until I tell you to open them?" Her voice was loud so that he could hear her.

"Uh, sure." He hesitantly closed his eyes and put his phone down.

He heard her walk in, towards him, but she stopped right before him.

"So, you remember what I asked you, when we decided to move together?" Lilah grinned.

"Uh, am I supposed to?" Max was still confused.

Lilah rolled her eyes before squatting down to her knees and extending her hands. "I told you I wanted a pet."

The fur touched Max's hand and he started to shake his head.

When he opened his eyes and looked at their hands, a small baby cat looked back at him, her grey long fur tickling his hand.

"You did not." He still shook his head while smiling at the cat.

"I did, I thought we could decide a name together so, she doesn't have a name rigg now."

"Oh, my god. You're horrible." Max laughed, taking the cat on his arms.

"I know." She chuckled. "I got everything already, she's not allowed to go outside, the food and everything else is in the hallway and the toilet for her is upstairs."

"She isn't allowed to go outside?" Max asked, having never heard of a cat like that.

"Yeah, she's a perser cat." Lilah smiled at the sight of Max with their new family member.

"Ok, names." He was thinking when the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it, you think of names." Lilah went to open the door.

"I am hurt you didn't think of inviting me to your new house, Ma- oh, Lilah, hey." Daniel grumbled at his phone before looking up and seeing Lilah smirk.

"Hello, Daniel. How are you today?" Lilah smiled.

"Good, and you? Why have I never been here?" He walked past Lilah.
