Chapter 3
I got home just in time to find my mum making a cup of tea.
"Ah, here you go love," mum said as she handed me a steaming mug oftea, "how was your first day at school?"
"OK I guess. I kind of made a new friend, I suppose. She's called Emma." I blushed, looking at the floor.
"That's wonderful dear! Glad you're happy." I love my mum so much. Aslong as I'm happy, she's happy, nothing else matters to her.
"Actually, I was sat with her in maths today and you know how Istruggle with maths, well she offered to tutor me occasionally afterschool, starting tomorrow. Is that okay, mum? I'll be going round herhouse but she can come round here too sometimes, can't she?" I was babbling now. Shut up George!
"That's great! Of course she can come round here whenever you want,I'd love to meet your new friend some time soon." Mum said with a warmsmile. Good! I could see the beautiful Emma after school tomorrow. Man, tomorrow will be a looooong day.
