Lost

where am I?

Suddenly, he felt a cold feeling in deep in his soul, he couldn't understand this weird feeling and he shuddered for a brief moment, then everything seemed to come to a stop all of a sudden--

Chirp chirp Ruby heard sounds of birds and his body suddenly became warm, his body twitched for a moment and his consciousness seem to come back. He opened his eyes and dazzled by the light rays causing him to shut them right after. He slowly opened his eyes looking at his surroundings, immediately discovering he was lying down in long stretch of grassland.

Huh?...

The grassland was lush with different types of weird plants, some growing tall, some short and some crawling on other plants.

Shocked and confused he turned his head around but could not see the ending nof the grassland.

"Weird"

"I was in my room a while ago but how did I get here? Where is this? He muttered silently". Checking his clothing, they were the same as what he wore earlier with the only difference being that it was now rumpled and torn in many places.

"This...."

"This must be a dream--"

"I must be dreaming!" he murmured, pinching himself to confirm if it was reality.

"Ouch, t--this is this really reality, b...but how did this happen. Where exactly am I...?" he thought aloud as he felt a feeling of dizziness wash over him.

He tried sitting up while looking around to find clues. He suddenly discovered that he was currently on a long and unknown stretch of grassland. Looking at the grasses, he discovered something weird.....

"These are really different from normal grasses!!" he gasped staring at the plants around.

He had never seen or heard of this strange species of grasses. They were sturdier and had a faint greenish glow around them exuding nice fragrant scents that stunned the nose, they felt more than just mere grasses. "What is this plant?",he pondered as he reached for one of them.

On trying to cut them, they were harder and thick fragrant milkish liquid flowed out. The grasses were really unusual, but the scenery was nice and alluring. It gave off a dreamlike feeling.

"Ouch!"

"Ouch, my head hurts", he felt a sharp pain on his head as his eyes glazed over.

He hadn't completely gotten up from the grass. Sitting in a half squat with his knees touching the ground he still felt his head spin. His throat was dry and his arms semed heavy, he felt his knees go weak as his waist seemed unable to support his body, his body and mind seemed to have been overly stressed making him not to be able make any move anymore.

" W...what is this feeling!?", he let himself drop to the ground again as he stared at the sky. The sky was light blue had had floating white clouds that had a refreshing feeling to it.

But the air was heavy, and he had a hard time breathing. It was like this place was not accommodating him. He struggled to stand up and staggered a little--- he felt his head spin again. "What is this?".

Thud! His thoughts were disrupted by loud noises, they seemed like hoofs of horses.

Thud!

The approaching sounds came closer to ruby. From the uncoordinated sound approaching, he could tell they were more than one of them.

Who?...He squinted his eyes crawling up again and staggered for a few minutes as he tried to walk. Suddenly he saw a group of riders on mounts coming for a far distance as they lifted dust particles as they moved.

"H...horses in mo...modern day!". He was surprised for a moment as he stared blankly into the distance squinting his eyes.

No!, these weren't horses!, they were larger, faster and had tougher builds than normal horses. They had hairs all over and were of the same color, brown. "If these aren't horses then what are this?" He tried thinking of any possible animal that seem like it.

There were still approaching, but this time he could see them from a closer view, there were about a handful of them, the riders were humanlike beings!, two of the weird mounts pulled carriages behind them.

"This! I am not feeling good about this, a strange foreboding feeling clouded his mind. His heart began to pound faster as his hand began to sweat but he could only stay rooted and wa

They all were burly and well-built, with huge statues with sun-tanned skins. Their clothings patterns and designs were an odd set that he had not seen before, welding different shining weapons that looked hideous and bigger than normal they seemed to be prepared for battle

"This set of people could really pass as good bouncers or wrestlers with good pay in new seal city", ruby stayed rooted to the spot as he seemed to wait for the worst to come. They didn't look friendly at all with the menacing looks on their faces.

"Hmm.....?". Their smile were like predators that found its prey. On the horse like m mounts the humanoid beings swayed from side to side as they have easily controlled the behemoth horse like mounts.

"We got one". One of them yelled with a loud voice as they approached him. Ruby face immediately lost color as sweat dripped down his back and he was gripped with fear.

"W...what....who are these people". They wore grins that could shake the heart and give you the chills. The mounts were large with inflated muscles but they could easily control them as they moved.

"They are fast!". Before he could react, they were already very close to him. One of them with short hairs yelled.

"Hey, you are coming with us", a young man with looks of a youth in his late twenties spoke as his grin became wilder.

He had three deep marks on his right cheek that seemed to be an injury that took too long to heal, he held on to a curved axe and beamed a smug smile.
