So
I have challenged myself to write a 20K word oneshot. I am about halfway through and I'm in a bit of a slump. So I'm gonna post a very small piece of it and I am going to ask for pointers, theories, thoughts, or feelings about it. Comment any and every thought you have.
Beware: when this is on ao3 one of the tags WILL be "major character death" so tw for that. It's only implied here though.
The scenery around them began to get familiar. Kaoru sighed in a mix of happiness and apprehension. Often, Reki, Langa, and Miya skated around these parts. While the former two had graduated and were probably in college or working (or both), Miya was still in high school. There was a good chance he'd run into them. He wanted to avoid that.
He also wanted to ignore where he knew he was going, but he knew he couldn't. He pulled away from Kojiro.
"I know where you're taking me," he whispered into the night.
"Yeah. Sia la Luce. For your breakfast."
"You don't need to play along. I know you know."
"Know what?" Kojiro looked confused.
"I know you know you're just in my head. I know you know you're-"
"We're here, Kaoru," Kojiro said, not letting go of his hand.
