I heard a knock on the door. I looked over to it and stood up. I took the courbed flat metal handle in my hand and opened the door to reveal one of the only person that I saw these days.

I ARRIVED at my house and noticed that my dad's car wasn't in the parking lot. I let out a breath of relief and unlocked the door. I went upstairs to my room, put down my bag on my desk and took my phone and my laptop. Then, I went downstairs and put them on the kitchen table. I opened the pantry and noticed that it was still empty 'Great' I thought. I took my phone and my keys and left. I locked the door and went into my car. I drove to the grocery store that I saw this morning near the Dunkin Donut and parked. I went inside and bought basic necessities to fill up the shelves. Then, I took all the bags and put them in the trunk of my car and went back to the house. As soon as I arrived, I placed all the stuff I bought earlier in the pantry. Afterwards, I made myself a bowl of Lucky Charms, grabbed my laptop and sat down on the couch. I opened it and went on my usual favorite illegal streaming website. My father doesn't even bother to pay for netflix since his favorite hobby is to go to the bar and drink until his mind is floating on clouds. I watched two episodes of Stranger Things until my phone emitted a "ding" indicating that I received a text. I walked over to the table and picked it up and saw it was from an unknown number. I unlocked my phone and I opened the conversation.

Hey Shadow, it's Alex. I got you a fight tonight at "The Lion's Head" at 9. I'll text you the address later.

Seems like I'll be fighting tonight, I really can't catch a break. Alex is my fighting and racing manager/coach. I met him in a boxing gym soon after I moved away. He helped me to train and got me fights and races. He also teached me how to modify cars. He helped me to choose my car when I bought it and we modified it together so that it's the best. I climbed up the stairs and I sat at my desk. I then decided to start working on my calculus homework to get a little bit of work done in advance.
After a few hours, I picked up my usual fighting Nike outfit that consisted of a pair of leggings, a sport top with crossed straps with a pair of nike black sneakers, and put it on.

Then, I put my red eye contacts on. I always put them when I make an apparition as « Shadow », because my natural eye colors are very unique and I want my identity to be kept a secret. I took my phone, my car keys and my black bandana and I jogged over to my car. I got in and I drove over to the club that Alex texted me to go to.
When I arrived, I parked my car, put my bandana on top of my nose to hide my face and walked towards the door. The bouncer nodded his head in fear and immediately let me pass through knowing who I was because of my signature eyes and outfit. I guess the word got around from the time that I beat up a bouncer because he wouldn't let me pass through. The whole story was that he stopped me from going in and when I told him I was shadow he didn't believe me and asked me how much I charged one night. I didn't hesitate to punch the sense into him and I teached him not to insult ladies like that.
