"You're so boring, let's go downtown and do something." I complained to Kellin who was sitting on the couch watching TV.
"Nope, not moving." He responded with a cheeky grin. With a sigh, I sat down beside him, turning my attention to the TV for a few minutes before I was utterly bored yet again.
"C'mon, I wanna go check out that costume shop again."
"Didn't they shut down?" Kellin questioned. A smile spread on my lips. He was curious now; I knew it.
"They're a seasonal store in the mall, remember? Since Halloween is coming up, they're opening."
"But we don't dress up for Halloween." Kellin noted with a scoff.
"Who said we couldn't." I whispered in his ear. I could practically feel him shiver. Kellin bit down on his lip, obviously debating the decision thoughtfully.
"Fine, fine okay. Let's go." Kellin caved in, hopping off the couch to the door in an instance. "You're driving though." He added on as I passed him through the door and got into the car. I didn't mind driving though, in fact I love driving. It's really relaxing to me.
I drove downtown in silence until I found an open spot in the crowded mall parking lot. Kellin and I got out and walked to the big double doors hand in hand. It was nice being able to be open about our relationship. Nobody ever seemed to give it a second look or thought. They just accepted us.
"So where is it?"
"Take the elevator, I'm pretty sure it's towards the end of the second floor." I explained. Kellin nodded, dragging me to the elevator. I stepped in it warily. I always hated elevators for some reason. Once at the top, I stepped off and glanced around at the store signs. We weaved through small crowds of people until we ended up at the end of the large building. Nobody seemed to be coming down here.
"Maybe this isn't where it was?" Kellin offered thoughtfully.
"No, when I looked it up, it was around here." I responded hastily. Then I saw it; The small sign beside a black curtain. "There." I pointed to the store. Kellin nodded.
"Why would they have a curtain instead of a door?"
"Who knows." I responded, grabbing his hand again before dragging him to the curtain. I pushed it aside, peering in. There was a few people walking around the store, pulling things off of racks and examining them. "This is it." I noted, pulling Kellin in who took his time looking around.
"I feel like a child being in here." He admitted with a chuckle. I smiled at him.
"My child." I corrected him. Kellin scrunched his nose up.
"Ew, no, that makes it sound perverted." He teased. I laughed at him before hurrying off to some racks. They had tons of costumes, but I didn't know what to get. It was awkward of me to want to even dress up, but I thought it'd be funny.
"I think you should wear this." Kellin began before holding up a tight black suit with a mask. A smirk was plastered on his face.
"Very fun, I'd suffocate in that." I brushed it off and continued to skim the racks. I stopped on a police officer costume. "What about this?" I questioned, holding up the suit. Kellin looked up from the other side of the rack. A smile spread on his lips.
"Hot." Was all he said before going back to searching.
"I'll try it on." I noted, looking around the building. The dressing rooms were up on the loft. "You coming or not?"
