\1\ One Drink Too Many

"Vic, please stop, I need t-to get ready," I stuttered out through my deep breaths as Vic, my boyfriend, kissed my neck suggestively. Usually I'd be up for this, but right now? My boss invited us to a party this evening and we're going to be late if he keeps this up. Vic's overly suggestive sometimes, and one of those times is right now.

"Can't we show up a little bit late? Never hurts to be fashionable late, you know?" Vic suggested once again, whispering it in my ear before kissing my jaw line. I took his face into my hands, pushing him away softly. I hate having to be so forceful, but sometimes Vic doesn't get the message. No means no, and I'm already behind now as it is.

"No, we're going to be there on time. I'm going to shower, then you are. Then, we are going to leave dressed formally and enjoy the evening." I replied sternly, making Vic look into my eyes. His brown eyes held nothing but admiration, which told me he inevitably just wanted to have sex. Once again, I wasn't opposed to the idea, but now was not the right time.

"We could shower together, it would save time and water." Vic offered, and honestly I couldn't tell if he was suggesting it in a general or sexual manner. I went with sexual and frowned at him, shaking my head.

"No means no, you need to get that through your thick skull." I retaliated a little louder, instantly regretting my choice of words. A look of pain shot through Vic's eyes before he left my bedroom silently, probably going downstairs to wait until I was done. With a frustrated groan, I hurried into the bathroom, grabbing a towel from the closet before turning on the water, letting it heat up. I slipped out of my clothes slowly, pushing them aside so I wouldn't get them wet. Not that it mattered, I had a suit to wear anyways. So did Vic, and I'm just thankful he's not fighting me with it right now. I know Vic isn't a very formal person, so this party isn't very intriguing to him. Then again, it isn't to me either, but it's my boss we're talking about here. How could I turn him down?

When I got out of the shower, I dried myself off quickly before slipping on the suit which fit a little tight. I could deal with it for one night though, as Vic will deal with his. Sometimes I forget how lucky I am to have him. He puts up with me, and I know I'm a pain in the ass in the long run.

I took my blow dryer out of the room and downstairs, noting Vic who was on the couch watching the TV nonchalantly. He looked at me and then at the dryer, giving it a confused look. "You're going to shower and you don't want me in there, so I'll blow dry my hair in here." I explained, making Vic frown. He grabbed the remote before flicking the TV off, walking over to me shortly after. I watched as he took the blow dryer out of my hands and set it down, taking my hands into his. Vic pulled me close, pressing his lips to mine which sent butterflies through my stomach. I always seem to get butterflies at his touch, and only his touch.

"I don't care if you're in there, let's go." Vic responded after pulling away, grabbing the dryer and dragging me back upstairs. I waited outside the door as I listened to the water start up again. When I assumed Vic was in the shower, I opened the door and walked in, situating my belongings. I'm not going to lie, it was hard to restrain myself from looking at Vic through the steamy glass, but I managed not to linger on his outline too long and got out of there right before I heard the shower door open and close shortly after. Vic walked out with a towel draped loosely on his hips. I bit my lip, not even trying to hide that I was totally checking him out right now. Vic chuckled before walking up to me, pressing his lips on mine again. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him close to me.

"S-Stop, before I change my mind about leaving." I said teasingly, pushing him away.

"Hey, my towel could've fell off." Vic replied with, picking up the suit resting on the edge of the bed.
