Sea Princess

Chapter 9

I woke up feeling like crap. I stretched my fingers and felt cotton under them. Where was I laying? The ship had had satin seats. I didn't hear the familiar sounds of the ocean crashing around me. I blinked back the sleepiness that was in my eyes. I groaned as I sat up and winced. My body felt like someone had taken a baseball bat to some parts of it. I looked around and saw Cody staring at me. I smiled at him. I coughed and I felt the pain all over my body. Gods. I sat up fully and put my hands on my knees taking a mental account of what had happened.

"Hey," I said. He pushed me back down gently, so I was lying down. I winced again as I was pushed back down into my pillow.

"Are you okay?" He asked. I nodded.

"Yeah, just hurts a little bit. How long was I out?" I asked. He glanced down at his watch.

"Um...two days, I think. We got some nectar in you and your injuries should be good. I also kept your stuff in the cabin. The harpies didn't eat it." He said. I smiled. Thank the gods that my stuff was there. If it hadn't been I think I would have gone bat shit crazy on someone's ass. Then I would've probably found Luke and beat the ever-loving crap out of him.

"Thanks." I smiled. I hugged him and his arms wrapped around my waist. I let him go and put my hands over my eyes and Luke's face popped up in my mind. I quickly pulled my eyes open as a sob tried to break through. I wasn't going to cry over some prick who had beat me. I wasn't going to give him that satisfaction.

"Hey, what's wrong? I didn't hurt you did I-?" He rambled. I curled into a little ball shaking my head. He looked at me confused.

"It's all Luke's fault." I murmured. He stared at me wide-eyed.

"Why? Did he hurt you? Did he do these things to you?" He asked. I nodded as I wiped a stray tear away.

"He's a crazy raging psychopath. He needs to be stopped." I muttered. Cody just stared at me concerned but nodded. He didn't understand, I don't think, what was going on. But I could bet Chiron would.

"Hey, your safe here alright. I'm going to get Chiron and see if you can go back to your cabin." He said. I nodded wiping my eyes on the sleeve of my sweatshirt. Then a couple minutes later Cody came back in with Chiron.

"Cassandra are you okay?" He asked. I shook my head.

"Luke. He's bringing Kronos back to life." I said as more tears went down my face.

"Well let's get you back to your cabin and I'll need to talk someone about that. Oh, and we changed things around. Poseidon wanted Percy to have him by the water, so we switched your cabin with Ares so that he would be by the stream." He said. Cody helped me up and grabbed my bag. I walked out the door with Cody leading. I was quiet the whole way back.

"You know you can talk about it with me. I won't tell." He said looking at me as he broke the silence. I crossed my arms over my chest and shook my head looking at the ground. It was too early to say anything to Cody because he always teased me. I didn't even know where we stood and I sure as hell didn't want to tell him shit about Luke or me or us having sex. It fucking sucked.

When we got to my cabin I sat down on my bed and started shaking the dust off everything; all my stuff was already set up and it was in a good place. I liked the new cabin; it was more open, and I could see the water. It was closer to the dock to. I saw the half that Percy was using. He had a little sign on the other entrance. I walked up to it and grabbed it off the door and read it.

Cassi since you were gone when they did this I got help and set your TV and stuff up for you. Hope the way I set them up is okay for you. See you when you get here.
